pls help! aus rn/ student visa expiring soon

hi mga kabayan,

i badly need enlightenment..i am now an aus rn, my graduation is on the 17th but my visa expires on the 15th..immigration has adviced me to apply for tourist visa so i can attend my graduation. however, is it possible to be grabted 6months tourist visa? (so i have a bit time to process anmac and pr)

anybody here who has extended their visa from student to tourist?

Hi, We extended our visa before by applying for another student visa.

I'm pretty sure you can apply for TV as long as there's no clause in your current visa that says "no further stay." Just provide a good letter to immigration why you want to extend your stay here (as a tourist)

@tooanxious We were on a 573 visa then we applied for another student visa to extend our stay. If you'll apply for TV that doesn't have work rights. Are you in Melb? You can ask for AECC Global assistance. They're free of charge.
