why people are so fussy about 489...

@nickoryanfang ang 489 family din pala low priority yun. Kung may matitirang invites sa 189 saka lang maiinvite 489, pero pag walang natira walang 489 invites.Last year pa ako may 489 family EOI pero di ako nagkaroon ng invite. 70 pts ako dun with sponsorship na. Ngayon 80 pts minimum and 10 lang iniinvite per month kaya di sya ganun ka viable na option e

@MLBS haha ganon pala.. akala ko need ng experience bago ka mkapag apply sa course n gsto mo.. kase last year my invitation n dn ako sa school e.. DIY lang ako,, kaso na short ako sa pera.. ang exp ko ay puro i.t kaya sa field ako ng i.t . nag try ako sa ibang course ..rejected pa or conditional offer..plan ko sana mag shift ng nursing if possible .. hehe ask ko lang .. uni ka ba?

@nickoryanfang no need na may exp ka if you plan on studying a certain course. Pag lilipat ka kasi ng discipline, kailangan ma explain mo kung bakit kaya yun ang tricky part. College lang ako humanap lang ako ng murang course for the sake lang ng points e. Granted na ako nung december 2 pagkasubmit ko.

@nickoryanfang kunwari IT ka tas mag aaral ka ng culinary, questionable yun. May work exp ka naman di ba so why not directly apply for PR? You need a positive assessment and an english test. Student visa does not guarantee a direct path to PR. Habok ko pts sa study e so mura lang tinake ko, around 6k aud a year.

@MLBS saan ung 6k a year,, ang alm ko pde ka mag hanap ng work dba after ng course mo ? para sponsorhsip ka. nako 24 lang ako tpos 3 years lang exp ko . 2years sa qatar hehe

@nickoryanfang depende yung fee sa level ng aaralin, course saka school mismo. I suggest na magbasa basa muna kayo ng ibat ibang visa (189, 190, student) kasi yung sponsorship na sinasabi nyo is hindi assured

2 years n sgro ako sa thread n to. medyo nagulat ako kase sbrang mura nung tuition mo sa isang taon .kaya nag ttnong ako hehe kung anong lugar yon at school bka kse my branch non d2 samen,nsa new southwales ako ngaun sa new castle.. nag basa n dn ako sa mga ibang visa,, student and 489 ang pnka path ko family sponsor,, 189 and 190 medyo mhhrpn ako sa exp p lng ng work ko .. sana mabgyn mo kme ng idea salmat lodi. more power sa group na to @MLBS

Good point THREAD STARTER. On my case, the only visa type that is available is 489. Kaya no choice. Kaya lahat ng requirements like skills assessment, english test (which I took 4 times just to get the needed points), etc.. inayos ko lahat. I envy those professions na maraming open na States, unlike mine 2 states lang for 489 visa nga which means, there are certain requirements to meet para ka maka-apply for SS.

I know my chance is slim compared to others, pero laban lang and who knows.

@FearFactory_17 Tama yan. Pareho tayo na 489 lang available in 2 states. Yung isang state kailangan may job offer and yung isa mataas required points. Pero go lang ng go. Nakuha ko rin yung visa ko recently after almost 2 years.

@FearFactory_17 sa akin masasabi ko na 90% na. Kasi lahat ng claimed points ko well and correctly supported naman so wala ako worry doon. Nag worry ako dati sa medical kasi naka maintenance ako for hypertension, uric acid at cholesterol. According sa agent per their experience hindi nmn yun issue, which eventually was no issue nga.

Nice to hear this! =) All we need is to support or justify whatever we mentioned sa EOI right. As long na legit lahat and supported by docs., there'll be no issue.

I guess sa medical test, ang ina avoid nila ay yung mga infectious diseases like TB, HIV, etc. , obviously para ndi magkaron ng health risk ang Aussie residents.

Pero i'd like to ask, when you submitted your medical report especially the lab tests, were they all normal naman (uric acid, cholesterol etc.)?

@FearFactory_17 i just declared the current medication ko. And the medical didn't cover those test for HB, uric or cholesterol.

Hello po, is it possible to get invited to visa 489 without a being currently employed in your nominated job?

@pinkoctober yes depende sa State and sa nominated job mo. Sa South Au possible naman yun kask as long as may positive assessment ka for your nominated occupation like ACS for example, plus the other usual requirements.

Try to explore din yung State Sponsored na 489. Mas malaki chance na mainvite ka dun kesa sa 489 Family. Merong 263111 State Sponsored 489 sa New South Wales sa Far South Coast at Southern Inland if i recall it correctly. Pwede mo din abangan mag refresh yung occupation lists ng iba pang mga states while processing your other requirements such as ACS and english exam. It will take you few months to settle those anyway. Baka by that time 25 yrs old ka na, so that’s additional 5points as well.
