Hi guys, just want to ask for some help/info. I am currently a Finance executive , handling mostly payables and payroll, kaso walang ganto sa SOL. Pwede na ba sakin yung General Accountant? I am also not a CPA so medyo hindi ko alam if panu ako magsisimula. My course in FEU is Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Financial Acctg. Madami nako nabasa about sa requirements ng 189 visa kaso parang di ko alam alin ang uunahin ko gawin. IELTS ba muna before assessment sa CPAA.. then how will I know if papasa ko sa point system. Pasensya na very basic lahat ng tanong ko. Thanks in advance sa mga sasagot... God bless us all...

take IELTS, PTE you can check with the assessing body kong ano pa pede. mostly here. took PTE-A. You need 65 in all (listening,speaking, reading writing) for you to be able to have an assessment. 3 assessing body pede for accountant (CPAA, CAANZ (previously ICAA) and IPA).

Make sure you can get a syllabus for your course dahil malaking factor to have a positive assessment na equivalent nga ang degree mo sa pinas to a bachelor degree ng AU.

@yai_delacruz your welcome. I took PTE-A so I can only give input about PTE-A. and you can ask that in the PTE thread so we wont mix topics. pagalitan tau ng mga MODS/Admin.

Meron po ba dito yung Accountant pero hindi BS Accountancy ang course? Share naman po ng experience kung ok lang po kaya yun sa Assessing body like CPAA?

hi @yai_delacruz di din ako sure if meron ng non-accountancy course na nakareceive ng positive assessment pero you can check yung core knowledge areas sa site ng CPAA/ICAA/IPA kung swak sa mga course na natake mo. If swak naman sa mga core knowledge areas required, then I think you will be fine.

If you will claim for points skilled employment, check the job description of General Accountant in the Australian Bureau of Statistics kung comparable/related din sa work experience mo.

am still waiting for my assessment result from cpaa. usually mga how many days till makareceive ng result? sabi s site nila average 15 working days.... july 10 ako nagsubmit. do you think this week makukuha ko na ung result?

To all accountants who wants to pursue CPA designation. Free po ang assessment ng CPA Australia for MPA assessment. I don't know until when. I just got my assessment and I only paid 145 AUD the half year membership fee for 2016.

Hi everyone! Sobrang newbie ko so please please bear with me po. I just heard about this thing from my friend last week then I searched if may forum related sa situation ko since iba yung sa kanya, tapos napadpad ako dito ngayon. I just passed the cpa board exam, sobrang naging interested ako but honestly, I don't know where to start. Can you help me by providing even just a simple outline kung ano ang dapat or magandang gawin? (Base sa experiences niyo po) I'm currently applying for a job pa lang (requirement po ba na may work experience?) Thank you and praying that someone can enlighten me too. 🙂 God bless.

i just recvd my skilled employment assessment, kaso nakagalay nov2012-june2016. pero im still working at the same company up to present. though points would be the same.

sa pagpasa ko ng EOI ko, lalagay ko po ba present? or June 2016?

ndi po ba makakaapekto in the future?

@shye428 hello, Yes lagay mo lang sa EOI mo na up to present.

Same din ako nung nagpaassess may End Date ung period of employment although nagwowork pa ako sa same company so sa EOI ko I left the "To" blank. 🙂

@elef nagpaassess din ako on july 13, nagemail ako sa kanila kasi may question sila and sa email sinabi nila na 4 to 5 weeks daw ang assessment.

@Maqueen if your planning to migrate to AU u need to accumulate points for u to get invited.
