newbie lang ako dito, magstart palang ako maggather ng docs. 🙂 san ninyo mas iaadvise na magpasssess - CPAA or IPA? Saka pano pala kayo kumuha ng work references or detailed COE na need? Nagbigay kayo ng template sa HR or nanghingi ng testimonials from your bosses? thanks a lot!

@lianne08 nag gawa ako ng description na detailed kasi employer ko general lang. pina pirmahan ko na lng sa HR.

pinili ko CPAA kasi mas mura at mabilis. alam ko mas mahal sa CAANZ at mabagal sa IPA based on what I read.

Hi @batman one of the competency areas mandatory for accountant nominated occupation is Business Law. CAANZ assessed me as not suitable since based on their assessment I did not take the subject of Business Law (Corporations law only). My question is what are the subjects needed to take that are related for Corporations law?

@quantum sa school ko kasi meron kami partnership and corporation, negotioable instruments, obligation and contracts, law on sales agency and balements

lahat yung 4 na yun kinhaan ko ng subject description to address the business law competency.

most of our subjects sa accountancy course naman preho lang dapat. im sure may mga ganung subjects ka din. no need na mag take pa ng other subjects. just my opinion.

@batman exactly. natake ko na lahat ng mga subjects na yan with Business law review pa. kaya nashock ako sa assessment ng CAANZ na wala daw akong tinake na business law subjects. so ang gagawin ko request nalang cguro ako ng detailed description for these 4 subjects and reappeal for review of assessment. tama ba? un nga lang additional payment pa.

@quantum yun lang talga ang best way, magkano appeal cost? bakit di ka nag try sa CPAA?

@lianne08 I prefer using CPAA than IPA. I had an experience with IPA where they didn't recognise my Bristis client's MBA due to the fact na wala raw Bachelors degree yung client ko. I challenged them to provide further reasons apart from what they've given since most organisations and even DIBP would recognise such. They couldn't give further explanation. They knew exactly what my point was so ginawa ko was I demanded a refund from them dahil they did not explain this policy from the very beginning. They granted the refund buti na Lang kasi I will definitely insist my point...ipaglalaban ko talaga client ko. so anyway my client and I decided to lodge another application sa CPAA and we had no issues at all. Since then, I never used IPA, always CPAA na.

Hello po! Bago lang po ako dto. Manghihingi po ako ng suggestions kung anu po nag gagawin ko o saan muna ako magsisimula. Oct 2012 pa po ako nakapasa. Nagkawork po ako pero under agency po yung naging work ko as accounting analyst. Iisang company lang po yung work assignment ko kaya lang nagchange ng agency pero naretain po kami na contractuals. January 2013 to april 30,2013 yung first agency then May 1,2013 to june 30,2015 yung second agency. Then nag local government po ako as municipal accountant july 1,2015 to june 30,2016 pero temporary lang po. By Oct 3,2016 to present eh assistant municipal accountant ako pero permanent na. Anu po ba nag magandang gawin ko muna? Thanks po in advance

@RheaMARN1171933 Hi, ask ko lang po if ang course Internal Auditing ok lang po ba paassess sa CPAA, all of her experience is as an Accountant po. We're doing this to claim partner pts since short ang 70 pts for accountants. Salamat po!

@RheaMARN1171933 Ang main purpose lang po talaga is to claim pts from her so positive assessment lang po sana kaso ang pagkakaintindi ko binabase din ang positive assessment sa experience. So, if sa vetassess po siya magpaassess ok ung course niya pero ung exp nia is accountant. Pwede padin po ba mapositive assessment un?

@Blackmamba as long as ma-meet yung competency areas and may degree, should be fine. It really doesn't matter ano yung degree basta recognised as degree in Australia. Hope that helps.
