Hello po. Kapag ang course ay BS Management Accounting pero yung school nasa section 1, considered equivalent to Australian Bachelors degree po ba yun?

Also, if may idea po kayo, mas okay po ba magpa assess na ako sa CPAA before or after I finish my Masters in Prof Acctg? Inassess pa din ba nila kahit yung course accredited sa CPAA?

@ambry as long as the institution is under section 1, regardless the course of studies undertaken, the degree qualification will be recognised to be equivalent to an Australian qualification. Note that assessing authorities do not decide on this, they just refer to the policy set by the department of education and training.

@cpameow you don’t need to be a cpa to have a positive skills assessment outcome. All you need is a degree (any course) equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree and have undertaken the mandatory subjects required for your nominated occupation. Being a CPA comes in handy if the institution you undertook your studies from is under section 2 or 3 of the CEP. Good luck!

Hello po! yung pinsan ko po kasi BS Accountancy graduate under section 2 pero hindi po sya CPA, 36y/o, with 13-14yrs work xp as accountant. May chance pa ba sya for PR if makakuha sya ng Superior PTE and NAATI? ang worry kasi nya is ndi sya CPA under sec2 school and 36y/o na sya. Thanks po 🙂

@kailey she needs to calculate her average GPA. It needs to be lower than 2.0 for her qualification to be recognised as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Otherwise, she wouldn’t stand a chance even if she scores superior on English.

@batman Thank you. Also, im worried kasi po for my assessment because of my ielts exam. result. I've received 6.5 for my writing. Then i've noted po kasi sa general skilled assessments minimum po nila is 7. Makakaaffect po ba ito?

@cpameow you can't have assessment with below 7 band.
