Hi, just want to ask your opinion if I can get 10 points from my working experience below:

1.5 yrs - EA in a small audit firm

1 yr - worked as a general accountant

3.5 yrs - internal auditor in a publicly-listed bank

I am a CPA, and earned the CIA designation last 2012. Gusto ko sana magpaassess for internal auditor. Sa tingin nyo pwede ko ba makuha yung 10points? Pwede ko kaya i-relate yung accounting experience ko sa internal audit?

@joy.0491 only VETASSESS can give you a definite answer to your question. I’m also an internal auditor right now, but had my experience assessed for Accountant (GENERAL) as relevant. This was assessed by CPAA tho. The agents in this forum will probably tell you to compare your employment reference to the job desc for Internal auditor, and see if it matches.

Also, I think, there’s a separate forum for internal audit within this site. Go have a check. Others may have better inputs in that forum.

@RheaMARN1171933 thanks po. What if gusto ko paassess yung EA experience ko.. kaso yung audit firm na pinasukan ko, dissolved na ngayon. M May new company na both partners ng audit firm. Pwede pa din ba ako kumuha ng statement of service dun sa new audit firms nila kahit iba na yung company name and iba na din letterhead na gagamitin?

Hi po! I just received my assessment result from CPA australia at di daw ako qualified because d k na complete yong finance and financial management. And their reccomendation is to submit my CPA board rating. Alam nyo Po ba Kung ano mga subjects na compose Ng finance and finance management? Meron Po ba sa inyo similar na case? Pagka pasa nyo Po ba nung board rating nyo nag change Po ba yong assessment?thank you Po. God bless

@JulieM if BSA graduate ka pede ka mag pa assess ng skills mo (Genereal Accountant), hindi naman need na CPA (Certified Public Accountant) ka sa Pinas to be assessed as General Accountant sa CPA AU. For Skills Experience naman need na match yung ga duties mo sa duties ng isang General Accountant, you can show that thru sa reference letters na makukuha mo sa iyong employers.

Newbie here. I'm a 2016 CPA, working in a professional firm from Dec 2016 up to present.

I had 2 busy seasons in Audit, and currently working for an Australian office here in the Philippines as a secondee (Finance) since July 2018.

I'm starting from zero, I just want to ask for guide on how I can start with applying for Australia?

I started reading the different visas but confused still on where to start.

May I ask for a high level guide po? Many many thanks!

@Emong try english test muna. Ielts or pte and aim for superior points (20 points) or atleast proficient (10 points). Tas search ka kung san anszco code yung pinaka malapit sa job description mo.

@hopefullyoz Hi po! Ask ko lang regarding sa COE na nirequest mo from SGV. Did you gave them format to include JD or yung usual COE lang na may position, tenure and binigay sayo? Im also from SGV and preparing my documents for assessment. TIA

@shanerivera_bluice I specified the information needed. CPAA listed all the information they need, and I included them in my email.

@hopefullyoz, sa CPAA have you attached a certificate of good standing from PICPA? Is this required or ID is enough? If yes, paano ka nagrequest? Thank you!

@Emong is this for the migration requirement? I did not attach the cert. of good standing, and was not asked by CPAA.

But for the associate membership in CPAA, required ang certificate. I requested the certificate from PICPA Cebu chapter’s office, and was asked to pay 100php. Mabilis lng naman ang processing.

@shanerivera_bluice hindi na. I don't remember it being required by CPAA, but please recheck na rin. Their requirements may have changed since July last year.

@shanerivera_bluice the coe is of no use of it doesn’t have the tasks listed. Technically, you should submit reference letters and not COE. If the tasks have been covered on the letter, no need to provide any other letters. All the best.

@snmgil I haven't pursued applying yet. I just checked the requirements if ever I decide to apply. Ang understanding ko, if you qualify for the associate membership, you still need to take the 6 exams and comply with the experience requirement. Deets here:
