@JohndAU 489 is not about high points. As far as i know as long meet mo pass mark pede ka ma bigyan of course with all other requirements like proof of funds, job offer etc. Im a 489 visa holder. 65 lang ako nun. Plus 10 for state sponsored points.

Hi all! Newbie here. Any CPA here with a "relatively different" experience but had positive CPAA assessment? I'm a CPA but my 9 year experience came mainly from risk management. I'm worried I might not get a positive assessment to maximize my points in work experience. Thank you.

Hi sa mga nakapaglodge na po ng EOI with CPAA as assessing authority, anong date po ang ilalagay sa date of assessment?Date of migration assessment or date of positive skilled employment assessment?

@batman would you know which states are currently open for Accountants under 489? by the way, is the job offer a pre-requisite. I just have no idea yet what are the chances to get a job offer from offshore. thank you.

NT TAS SA, there are specific requirements each state. If you are eager to move here. I suggest be more proactive in researching about different paths to get where you want to.

thank you @batman. we've been waiting for an invitation for two years now. my points improved 10 pts last year due to PTE but unfortunately it was also around that time that they raised qualifying pts to 80 for SC190 - my closest possible chance during that time.. with the trends as you've said, will surely consider 489 options now.

I need help please, nagsubmit na ako ng EOI 190 for NSW with only 65 points. Alam ko mataas na requirement ngayon sa Accountants. So I am thinking, mag add ng work experience para makadagdag points. Need ko mag add ng new employer. Paano gagawin ko, magpapa-assess ulit ako sa cpa australia? ndi ba ako maquestion nun at madamay un mga nasubmit ko na sa knila before? anyone who knows the process? please enlighten me on this. pag maadd ko un at uulitin ko pte ko, possible na maka 80points na ako. thanks in advance.

@ranicka kung valid naman yung i dagdagmo, why worried? Yes need mo re assessment, communicate with cpaa directly, they are responsive naman. Explain your case.

@ranicka madali lang magupdate. call them how baka kasi nagbago na sila ng process. prepare mo na din iyong detailed COE. when i did that, result of my updated assessment came after two weeks.

@RodSher yes, 489 family sponsored are open each state, pero points tested sila.

@RodSher 489 ako, pero regional sponsored, not family sponsored. 2 types ang 489 family sponsored at regional sponsored. Not so much familiar with family sponsored.

It's not advisable to come here if you're depressed. It will only worsen your disease. Take it from me. I made stupid decisions since coming here because of depression. I've met people who have been seeing doctors for years here in sydney because of depression. Gabigabi umiiyak sila dahil sa depression. Not to discourage you but mahirap ang buhay abroad. Pls go see a doctor. Don't even think about going overseas with your condition.
