Hi I just received my positive assessment from CPAA today. However they did not recognized my employment experience before I passed the board exam. May case din po ba na ganito nangyari sa inyo? I have detailed certificate of employment for the unrecognized work exp. Yun bang skilled assessment ng cpaa ang basis for EOI or we can submit pa rin yun actual years of experience as long as my supporting docs naman sa DIBP? sigh

@hopeful_mea hindi ko sure un ctc, un skn kase agent na mara registered un gagawa ng mga ctc. though may nabasa ako dito sa thread na basta colored scanned copy ok na daw. verify mo na lang futher, para sure un issubmit mo.

@jencandysweet congrats on the + assessment. How did you go around that subject description requirement, hindi nag bigay school nyo ng detailed as I remember.

@kate27 cge thanks sis! Tumaas na ba ang needed points?kasi sa immigration site sabi 70pts ang sa accountant,65 lng sa kin e. If true,kukuha na nman ako ng pte exam pra mka.20pts lng. Tama ba guys o maiinvite pa rn nman khit 60 o 65pts lng?

@batman tinanggap naman ng cpaa yun subject description along with the PRC documents. I think may bearing din siguro yun MPA with them kasi kahit hindi detailed yun syllabus ko na-positive naman. Yun lang hindi na-credit yun work experience before passing the board so need ko pa manghingi ng employment certificate sa isang employer ko. I plan to submit it sa cpaa as supplementary application so I can claim the maximum no. of points for the experience which is 8 years.

@jencandysweet ano yung MPA sis?ilang points ka na bale ngayon? if I may ask kasi baka hndi na naiinvite pg mga nsa 60 o 65 lng =(

65 points lang din ako from my target na 70 points. I will send an application to update my assessment after ko mareceive yun isang employment certificate ko hope ma-aaprove.

Regarding sa ctc ng mga PRC docs pina-notarized ko lang lahat sa lawyer and tinanggap naman ng cpaa. Ganundin yun mga academic papers (diploma, tor, etc.) sa lawyer ko din pina-ctc. Yun syllabus pwede ata school lang but yun sa kin pina ctc ko din sa lawyer since 5 pages lang yun at subject descriptions lang.

@jencandysweet I remember some guys before who are not CPA passers pero nag pa assess ng employment nabigyan nmn ng points. what if hindi CPA pala sa pinas pero working na hindi nila e recognize yun?

@batman I was thinking of the same thing that's why i sent them an email inquiry. I'm still waiting for their response though. I need to act na rin so I have requested my employment certificate sa audit firm ko before sa pinas which will complete my 8 years exp as a CPA. Di kasi ako binigyan dati so I will try again hopefully mabigyan na this time. praying

@jencandysweet pag di ka binigyan mag stat declaration ka na lang, which is more tedious nga lang. pero kunting push na lang ang iyo. ako nasa PTE pa din.

hi @hopeful_mea , AFAIK., being an associate member of a professional body doesn't give you points for migration purposes.

ayos, ms ok mgpa.ctc sa lawyer prang one stop na lang. btw hindi na ko kukuha ng board certificate kasi ill provide a ctc of my PRC ID and board rating..para mka.submit na ko this week. do you think importante talaga yung board cert.from PRC?na.misplace ko kasi..

Guys... Question po, im just quite confused, is the topic and the discussion (with jencandysweet) is for immigration purposes? Or for accreditation of profession to land a job and to practise accounting?

@hopeful_mea sis tama si batman wala pong points for migration purposes yun being associate member with CPAA. It is completely different from migration assessment. I just assumed lang na nakatulong yun MPA sa positive assessment ko since kahit papano recognized na ng cpaa ang picpa. Regarding sa board certificate, sinubmit ko kasi yun sa akin along with board ratings & PRC ID so I am not sure if they will not require it from you.

Sa PRC website, there is a section called "verification of professional licenses" This is a portal to verify the identities of registered professionals. You just need to type your name and profession and it will give you a result.

I submitted a screenshot of the result when i submitted my docs to ICAA. Baka makatulong sayo... At least may evidence from a govt website.
