Well yun nga...I tried looking for that fine print...parang wala. But I know for a fact they will consider those with visas of course...pero nag babakasakali lang hehehe

So guys, naka-2 interview ako nung 2nd day ko, kwento ko muna yung first. Yung first, small firm lang, mukhang ok namana ko sa interview pero based sa sinabi nila, hindi pa nila na-close yung engagement sa isang client kaya di pa sila makapag-finalize. Hindi na rin ako gaano ka-interested kasi nababaan ako sa salary na sinabi nila most likely ibibigay sakin.

Yung 2nd naman kasi, sa recruiter. Lahat ng recruiter halos gusto muna ma-face-to-face interview eh, pero ito kasi, nakausap ko na sa linkedin at skype. Sinabihan nya ko na perfect timing ko kasi usually daw nag-pipick-up ang hiring after Australia day, which was last weekend. Yung interview is more on getting to know, etc. etc. para makita nya kung pwde profile ko sa mga current client nya. Sinabi nya talaga sakin, napaka-baba ng chance kung wala ka sa AU, katulad ko business analyst, marami naman business analyst na nasa AU na bakit pa sila mag-ririsk sa hindi nila nakita F2F? Sure meron nakakakuha, pero hindi ganun karami diba?

Lastly, nasa LinkedIn halos lahat ng recruiter. Madalas daw dun na rin sila nag-popost at mas mura pa dun. Build nyo relationship nyo sa mga recruiter, it's a 2 way relationship, kikita sila sa inyo, magkaka-trabaho tayo. 🙂

@psychoboy usually yung mga recruiter sinasama nila pangalan nila at contact number sa job posting. Ang ginagawa ko muna, mine-message ko sila sa LinkedIn, hanapin ko, explain ko situation ko, background ko etc. etc. Usually mag-bibigay sila ng feedback, like call me when you get here, bibigay nila # nila (minsan posted din naman), yung iba recruiter yung job mismo sa linkedin na nila pino-post. Palitan mo location mo sa linkedin to Melbourne (sakin Sydney), para lahat ng job posting sa Australia/Sydney makikita mo.

Kuha ka na lang muna ng skype #, para +61 lumalabas sa profile mo. Higit sa lahat, updated linkedin. Ako hindi naman full details linked-in ko, high-level lang for privacy purpose. Pwde mo i-attach yung resume mo naman sa application sa linkedin.

2 recruiter na i-meet ko personally, let's face it, cornered na nila halos market. I'm still trying to activate network ko pero wala pa rin fruits na binubunga haha.

Very helpful ang linkedin. Actually minsan jan sila una nagppost bago sa SEEK. 🙂 Kaya magadd din kayo ng groups sa linkedin. For example, join kayo sa SAP Recruitment Australia etc.. parang mga ganyan. Or add/follow nyo yung mismong recruitment agency like Speller International. Bantayado ko nga minsan ang mga ganyan pag may opening. mabait so far mga recruiter na nakakausap ko, tinutulungan pa ako and binigyan pa ako tips. May isang recruiter pa nga na sya mismo nag-edit ng resume ko. hahah Too bad nga lang kase ung company boss, they find me too senior daw. awww hehhe By the way, nasa Pinas pa rin ako hehehe

anyway, update nyo profile nyo sa linkedin with the skills and all. medyo lately lang nalito ako kase right now di ko makita ung profile ko na parang CV sa linkedin ngayon. Not sure if dapat mag-upgrade na ng account or something... hehhe

Dumating ako during GFC June 2009, nagka-work ako as accountant Nov 2009.

Iyong workmate ko, one month lang maywork na siya, Nov2011 siya dumating.

@LokiJr usually naka-post pangalan nila sa mga job advertisements nila. Tatawagan ko or e-mail ko then sabihin ko na i-add ko sya sa linkedin kung ok lang.

Mas ok din if tawagan si recruiter para they will sense that you are really interested in the position. Tawag + e-mail. Minsan kahit sa SEEK, nakalagay lang na "Please call for a confidential discussion.." hehhe although syempre you can still submit online. 😉
