ako naman I was able save some money enough to sustain for 6 months looking for work here. But then I realize, based sa calculation ko, 1 month of expenses here can sustain 2-3 months of staying sa pinas. So i took my time, sa pinas ako nagaapply ng work while pretending I was in OZ na. Im using an Oz number (bought 3 sim cards nung 1st entry) and im using my friend's address. All my bags are packed and ready to go if may makuha akong interview.
Luckily, 2 months in i was able to secure an interview. yup i paid more sa plane tix pero mas malaki magagastos ko if im here in Oz then saka palang ako magaapply. Yung interview ko pa ang setting e sa bar while having drinks with 2 directors. After interview, i took them 3 weeks before sila nagdecide to hire me. yup they take their time sa pagdecide unless urgent hiring sila.
So konting tip lang sa iba, wag lang magfocus sa seek.com looking for a job. For sure madami competition dun. Do some research and look for companies in your field. Dont send your CV's sa mga admin email nila. Receptionist/admin lang ang makakabasa and hindi sila ang nagdedecide kung hiring or hindi. Research the director names and emails nila and directly send your CV's sa kanila. If they like you, kahit hindi sila hiring icoconsider ka nila.
