@ dee0829 You can apply passport immediately once you have the cert. Had my ceremony 4pm and the following day 9am applied for passport. Just approved today after 2 weeks. Antay na lang ipadala nila

There should be instruction sa ceremony invitation letter. But i guess it depends sa council..Sakin kasi you need to call before a specified date para masama nila sa estimates para sa food na iprepare nila. You can always call your council.

your Fil citizenship automatically ceased once you pledged as a new Australian. You have to reapply again if you wanted to have dual citizenship.

Yes, got my passport 18 days after application. Are you holding another foreign passport other than the Philippine passport? I am not familiar if thats the case. Maybe ask the issuing country's embassy. For the Ph citizenship, i emailed the embassy in canberra asking if we need to renounce our fil citz and their reply is NO need because it automatically cancels upon gaining the Australian citizenship and need to reapply for dual citizenship if you wanted.

Once you get your Australian Citizenship, apply for Philippine dual citizenship. Process is in the embassy website. You need to also pledge your allegiance to Philippines by taking oath organised by the embassy in Canberra.

Actually wala naman kasi automated way ang philippine embassy to check your citizenship..pag nagparenew ka, baka may question don kung may other citizenship ka..don nila malalaman na cancelled na philippine citizenship mo. Nag email ako directly sa Phil Embassy Canberra about this kung kailangan pa natin irenounce citizenship natin once naapprove Au citz..ang sagot is automatic na, no need to cancel and you need to apply for dual citizenship..pag lumabas ka using your philippine passport, i guess iaasume ng Au immig na dual citizen ka kaya pweding walng question, same with Philippine immig..pagbalik mo ng australia pweding may problema kasi yong Pr visa mo is connected to your Phil passport which is automatically cancelled upon approval of Au Citz, dapat pumasok ka with Au passport or Phil passport kung dual citizen ka nga. If you want a longer stay sa Ph when entring using your Au passport( at di ka dual), just show any Phil passport( even expired) and they will give you 1 year stay. I tried finding the email pero nadelete ko na yata.
