Hi @staycool. madameng opening for accountants, ang nde mabenta e ung accountants na nde pa cpa or ung walang local experience. so kahit maganda ang experience, mahirap ang competition dto. well, nung nag-apply kasi ako around august, nde pa ako member ng cpaa. i dont know kung anong bearing ng member pa lng. kasi kahit student ng accountancy, pwedeng maging member. you need to be at least part-qualified, which means you have taken at least one subj and you passed. and un usually ang hinahanap nila.
just a tip which i recently learned from friends. they are very keen with the details in your CV. they are looking for exact match/words from company reqts vs your CV. when applying for a headhunter or agencies, CVs generally pass a scanner which looks for keywords. if the computer did not spot majority of those words, nde ka na agad shortlisted. so, some people are copying the advertisement as is to their CV. ung iba kong kakilala, have numerous versions of CV during application. I haven't tried doing it so I don't know what are the chances of getting selected. but they say, a number of cases, nakakalusot sila for an interview.
if you have external audit experience, they say you have good chances of getting selected, which is something i dont have. but i have friends who are from ey, kpmg, pwc and had difficulty in securing jobs for like 6 months. a friend is even graduate of up diliman, and you know namn na double degree pa sila as BAA. re referral, i dont have issues referring people. what i dont know is kung may bago kameng client by that time. in short, swertehan talaga. :-) just keep on praying.
