@engr_23 yes, 489 is also a points tested visa and if sponsored by a relative, your nominated occupation should be in the SOL..fees/processing time is the same with 190 visa. Only limited number of invitations is issued for 489 relative sponsorship so mas matagal ka mainvite compared to 489/190 state sponsored na once your sponsorship is approved, automatic invited ka to apply.

i have a question po. hindi ko po kasi makita sa mga thread. 489 visa ako sponsored ng southern inland. now, i have the obligation to relocate in southern inland within 90 days from visa grant, so the deadline would be May 2, 2016. Now, does that mean na before May 2, pwede ako halimbawa magstay sa Adelaide kasi andun yung relatives ko, while im looking for work na din online. parang holiday or get together po ang purpose ko sa adelaide and of course to familiarise myself sa environment. would that be a violation kung pasok naman sa 3 month rule ang pag move ko sa southern inland? thank you

No more assessment...just proof of your relationship, identity, etc...proof of functional english lang( ielts or certificate of english instruction from school is enough)...you can apply anytime and should be before applying for PR

Hello fellow applicant, hope msagot ung question ko, I have almost 4 yrs of experience as a Civil engineer sa pinas problem is di pa ako license, my aunt wants me to stay in Australia (NSW), what visa should i take (mas mabilis),BTW may Aunt is already a Australian citizen. I still dont know which visa should I go, kasi pag student medyo malaki kailangan na money.

@jeprox_0989 kung d po kayo licensed you can opt for other skills like draftsman etc. under sa profession natin. you can look sa https://www.anzscosearch.com/ whichever will match your skills. As for points, your aunt can give you points too.. 10 points if under 489 or since open ang NSW for our profession go for 190 para makuha mo benefits. As for mabilis na visa, If an employer would sponsor you that would be a lot faster.

@ann_joli salamat, ask ko ung employer ko from here kasi may Aussie office sila, hopefully may vacancy sila, if not i'll take the other way around, just need to pass the IELTS first.

Ang meron lang po kase ako qualification & education assessment. (Standard CDR).comparable/positive result. May nabasa po kase ako dito na nag self assessment na lang sa work experience na relevant sa nominated occupation. Ok lang po ba ito? Thanks.

Question po sa mga dumaan na ng skills assessment. May interview po ba ng assessing body? Or they base their decision na dun sa mga pinasa na documents?

@ann_joli pwede naman. ako din ay CE pero ang 2 nominated occupation ko ay assessed by vetassess. mas mahihirapan kasi ako kung sa EA ako magpapa skills assessment.

@crosshair17 Visa 489 is the same as 189 & 190 when it comes to requirements, difference is yung sponsor mo can give you 10pts. Check https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/489-

You might be eligible to apply for this visa if invited. When we sent your letter of invitation, you must also have:

been nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency or sponsored by an eligible relative living in a designated area

nominated an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupations list

a suitable skills assessment for that occupation

not yet turned 50 years of age

achieved the score specified in your letter of invitation based on the factors in the points test

at least competent English

Also, 489 is provisional only, good for 4years unlike sa 189&190 na PR agad yung status.
