@RPhwithOZdream You should at least get 15 out of 20 to pass the exam. It’s very easy. Just focus on the Parts 1 to 3 of “Our Common Bond”.

Guys question lang. Sa mga nag-lodge ng citizenship application via immi account, separate fill up b talaga kayo ng spouse nyo? It means 1 application for yourself and spouse using the same immi account? Then 1 of you can include the kids? TIA.

@appledeuce Waiting time for ceremony varies. It depends on the number of applicants from your council. With ours, we received both email and letter for the ceremony. Try to google it and see if someone from your council posted their timeline somewhere just to get an idea. Or you can try your luck by calling the hotline.

@Cassey wow a year of waiting just for the approval? That’s outrageous.

I actually thought of changing my address to somewhere na tingin ko mas onti yung applicants but in the end I decided against it. I was able to wait for almost a year just to get my test schedule so what’s a few more months of waiting. It’s easier said than done though, especially as it’s the final step!

Hey Guys, not sure kung may nakaexperience na neto.. meron ba sa inyo nagka-baby bago makareceive ng citizenship test appointment? Pano kyo nagupdate sa Homeaffairs? kase may link lang sa letter that says to update them for any change in situation.. then they gave this link...

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/change-in-situation

kaso dyan naman sa link will only tell how to get evidence for baby's citizenship, pero walang further info on how to update them regarding your own citizenship application.

    Greatly appreciate any advice.

    Hello Po,

Question lng po regarding the residence requirement:

If visa was granted ng March 1 2019.

Initial Entry Date is April 1, 2019.

Big Move ng March 30, 2020

Tapos 2 Weeks lagi na wla sa australia every year

Eligible ba mgapply sa year 2023 ?

Sann po ba ang lawful residence mgsisimula?

    And another scenario po eh:

If visa was granted ng March 1 2019.

Initial Entry Date is April 1, 2019.

Vacation in australia for a week October 30 2019.

Big Move ng April 20, 2020

    Hello Po,

Question lng po regarding the residence requirement:

If visa was granted ng March 1 2019.

Initial Entry Date is April 1, 2019.

Big Move ng March 30, 2020

Tapos 2 Weeks lagi na wla sa australia every year

Eligible ba mgapply sa year 2023 ?

Sann po ba ang lawful residence mgsisimula?

    And another scenario po eh:

If visa was granted ng March 1 2019.

Initial Entry Date is April 1, 2019.

Vacation in australia for a week October 30 2019.

Big Move ng April 20, 2020

Tapos 2 Weeks lagi na wla sa australia every year

Sann po ba ang lawful residence mgsisimula?

You can start counting on your initial entry but the gap between your big move is too long( 1 year). For the past 4 years before applying, you must not be away for a total of 1 year including 90 days on the year before application. In your example, 1 year ka na mawawala so di mo masatisfy ang req and not qualified to apply sa 2023. If you can schedule your big move earlier na di magtototal sa 1 yr na wala ka dito including your vacations, then pwede ka apply sa 2023 if not 2024 ka na maqualify.

I guess no need to advise them because you dont need to include that child in your application anyway. Apply Citizenship by Evidence for your baby.

Sir another question po, what if after iniital entry ngbakasyon sa Au after ilng months... pwede ba nten sbhn na dun sa bakasyon after initial entry pwede rin mgsatrt mgcount?

    Granted ng March 1 2019.
Initial Entry Date is April 1, 2019.
Vacation in australia for a week October 30 2019.
Big Move ng April 20, 2020

Since initial entry to big move is more than 1 year.
Pwede bang ang start ng counting nlng eh yung October 20, 2019 instead of initial entry?

anong date po ang ang lawful residence?

@Gorio Lawful residence start is when you have your first stamp on your passport upon arrival in AU which is technically you initial entry date. You always count from there.

@Gorio, they've updated their website to include yung explanation on these dates..

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/residence-calculator

Gamitin mo yun calculator and it will tell you when you are eligible to lodge an application.

Permanent Residency Date = kung kelan nila nivalidate yun visa mo, which usually is your initial entry (for cases na naapproved PR outside AU)

Lawful Residence Date = your big move.

    Cheers!

@jenipet20 May part doon na iaask yung passport details so kapag expired na ayaw maggo thru nung system. Isang option doon is choose “None”. I’m not too sure though kung may effect yun sa tagal o bilis ng processing nung application. Yung friend ko renewed her passport na lang para wala na siyang aalalahanin pa na baka it’ll cause her some time.

    Hi Kabayans,

Malapit na mag expire passport ko. Ok Lang ba na expired ang passport when applying for citizenship?

May nabasa din ako dito sa thread na Hindi na kailangan ng NBI clearance if I didn’t stay overseas for more than 90days since becoming PR. Can anyone please confirm this.

    Salamat :-)

Hi! Yung 90 days ba ay cumulative? As in within the 4 years dapat less than 90 ang inilagi sa Pilipinas? Or per visit? Salamat!
