Tourist Visa

nnjhrrnnjhrr PhilippinesPosts: 12Member
Hi, good day! My partner (de facto) is currently in Australia as a student. I am planning to visit him there. Can I declare na he will support my accommodation kahit nakikitira lang din sya sa tita nya po? Thank you.

Who will do the visa application? Will you get sponsored? Yes he can if he shows enough funds or a stable source of it (bank statements or stable work history) to support your entire stay. He can make a stat dec and you can add it to your application for extra oomph.

Note that AU is a bit paranoid with partners (see all the partner visa changes the past few years) so to make your case stronger ensure you add enough proof that you will definitely return to PH after your visit.

If this is your first visit to AU or any country with strict visa applications (think US/UK), they'll work from the assumption that you'll TNT (same policy as the US), so the burden of proof is on you to prove immigration wrong.

So provide the usuals that confirm your strong ties to PH: stable work history, good travel history, land titles/car loans, your own show money if you have it.

@fruitys, hi thank you for the response. Can I just declare na it is self funded nalang? And provide proof of income and bank statment. And declare him as my friend nalang to make it less complicated but in his student visa I am declared as his de facto. Thrice palang ako nakakapag out of the country and the only visa I held was a japanese visa.

@fruitys partner can't sponsor anyway since he's only a student visa holder

@fruitys @Mia , thank you guys for the reply. So to clarify I can declare my relationship status as defacto, and declare that the person that I will visit is him and our relationship is de facto but this application will be self funded? Thank you!
