What is the best school here in australia para sa ating mga pinoy yung makakaintindi talaga tayo sa australian accent nila..? Especially sa mga partner visa holder like me. Gusto ko sana mag study dito sa australia..medyo takot lang ako na baka di ko maintindihan accent nila masyado..

Australian teachers will always speak the way they speak. Maybe what you needed to do is give yourself a little more time to familiarise their accent or take english language courses.

This will depend on the course and the university, most of the faculty population in La Trobe University Faculty of Engineering are non-Australians/non-locals. 90% of the lecturers and tutors are from Asian, Indian, American or English background.

I agree with @fgs. It takes time before you can adapt to Australian accent especially that we’re so accustomed to American accent. You can watch YouTube videos or listen to Australian English podcast so that you can train your ears. There’s also an Adult Migrant English Program. You might want to check on that and see if you are eligible.

@pauline try to inquire sa local library niyo. dito kasi sa library namin may inoofer sila na english language resource, tapos may mga volunteers na nagprovide ng english conversation group.
