Good day!im planning to go there po and work as an ota po muna sana before ako magmasters ng OT. Para mkapagwork po ako as an registered OT jan. But i already have license here in the phil. Pwede po ba kaya ako apply as OTA muna? Thank you for your replies.

Hi! not sure about OTa here.. you can proceed with your OT registration nmn .. check with OT council aus for stage 1 asses. then they will tell you if you meet all the qualifications pra maging OT reg. d nmn ako nag masters.

Di po kasi WFOT accredited yung school ko po before kakapprove lanh po this year which is di po kami kasama eh nabasa ko po na kailangan accredited on the year of grad. Kaya if ever OTA nlng sana muna while schooling. Thanks!

@JameeAzarcon Ano school ito? Di ko sure kung meron OTA sa Aussie pero you can take your masters in the Philippines.

@ausmiranda2018 batch 2016 po. Sabi daw po kasi sa OT council jan dapat daw po on the year na grumad ka wfot accredited. Huhu!

AFAIK, as long as nasa WFOT ang school mo, pasok pa rin yan. Have you reached out to OTC?

Hi. I’m an occupational therapist as well. I submitted my documents through SkillSelect for the 189 VISA in June 2019. My total # of points used to be 70, but was changed to 80 in November 2019. Still no response as of now. Does it usually take this long?

Hi all! Im also an OT from manila. My wife is a speech therapist and we lodged our visa 190 application last sept 2019 and got granted just last month. Our first entry to SA will be on january 2021. Any tips from my fellow therapists?

I also got my 190 visa last month, and I plan to do my initial entry this coming May 2020. As for job prospects, there are plenty of jobs for OT in Adelaide but most of them are not aware about the supervised practice for overseas trained OT so let them know the process, and some of them are willing to do the supervised practice for you. For starter, start ka na mag-apply a few months before your big move kasi it will take time for OTC and AHPRA to process your papers for supervised practice.

Try to use Seek.com.au for job search. If you need a supervisor, one of our professors in UST lives in SA and is willing to do the supervised practice. Kilala mo naman siguro siya.

Better ask her pala. My colleague just told me she is willing to do the supervised practice but am not sure if she still does.

Thank you the very helpful response! So this prof from UST in SA- i think i know her too hehe, what batch are you sir? I plan to apply for jobs around 4 months prior to our 1st entry. Do you think that is ideal?

Hi Guys. Question po. Meron po ba kayo kakilala na nakakuha ng student visa for BS Occupational Therapy pero malayo ang work experience and course na natapos? Planning to study sana pero ang work experience ko is sales (gym membership)
