Band score for civil engineer

What is the required band score in IELTS for civil engineers? TIA

Band 6 is required for EA assessment purposes.
However, later in the EOI and visa application, a higher band score will be very useful.

I was required with 7 or 8 for Acad po as principal applicant for PR Visa 189. Ayon po sabi ng Migration Agent po namin. Band 6 for Acad namn sa husband ko.

Pero ayun nga sana iexplain nila further kung ano requirement nila for transparency purpose lang and something that is verifiable against sa site ng iyong assessing body ( in this case - EA). As the agent, they should have explained that for skills assessment, IELTS score of 6 is the accepted score BUT we encourage you to achieve for a higher score like 7 or 8 so that you don’t have to sit for another exam ulit -
go to EA site if you wish to verify back with your agent, kasi syempre while it is encouraged na 7 or 8 ang score agad, it should not hinder you from moving forward na din maski 6 pa lang ang nakuhang score, then work your way up nalang towards achieving superior score.

Sa opinion ko pede din requirement ng agency yun alone, because they wanted a “guaranteed” application na aabot hanggang sa EOI lodging. Baka ayaw ng agency nyo yung “nag aantay”

note: for IELTS e General lang required.
as far as I know ang acad is for students hehe

talaga po? tanggap na po yan for EA assessment alone? kasi I am planning for a retake kasi ayun na nga po advised po ako to have at least a band 7 in every category. 6 lang yung writing ko eh (the only one na below 7.. nakakaiyak).. so is it possible na mka.proceed na kami with EA den upon EOI magsubmit ulit ng bagong result if we are to claim that 10points?

Acad po sabi sa akin eh kasi daw po I am migrating as Skilled Professional (Visa 189 po).

@engrOdetteAquino anong agency yan hehe. sayang bayad mo lipat ka nalang kay ms.Rhea para yung service na makuha mo is worth your money.

Anyway I understand na the reason why mag engage kayo ng agency is para less hassle na and less research on your part regarding sa lahat ng mga bagay bagay from Skills assessment to language skills to eoi and visa lodgement pero it is worth your time na mag research din atleast para you and your agent are on the same page ( pero dapat nga explain nya sa inyo lahat)

Check the site and requirements for EA for the skills assessment. Band 6, at IELTS accepts both General and Academic. Mas madali ang General and baka you could have achieved a higher score kung nag General ka kasi mas mahirap ang academic lalo na sa writing kasi may mga graph interpretation iyon, etc.

ok po. noted po. salamat po sa info. i am doing my research at the same time po. kasi nga po mukang may mga bagay na hindi masyadong naexplain ni agent. tnx po ulit.

Tama po si ms_ane. Better to have yourself familiarized din sa skill assessment process.
Having a 6, should not stop you at this point in the process. You always have the option later to improve you overall points.

Just mayb, if you are not aware yet, pwede din po ang PTE exam, instead of IELTS.
