Check CFO website for sched

Okey, no qualm on this - my line of thinking lang is that if I were the immigration officer, I would definitely look for the CFO sticker on the passport... That in itself is the proof that they have compiled this particular requirement. :)

Im curious whether this requirement is enough for IO to prevent a PR from leaving the country. Is there a definitive law or something or just a policies/ procedures lang? just like a challenge made on impeachment court sa DOJ regarding hold departure order.

I am not exactly sure about the coverage, benefits and main purpose of this seminar. Kapag galing kna kasi sa bansa kung saan ka PR like australia, already established yourself there, i think medyo defeated na purpose of attending this seminar unless meron silang kakaibang ituturo pa. You may need to attend again the seminar to prevent "sakit ng ulo" dealing with IO by complying the requirements and not exactly for the purpose by which this cfo was created in the first place.

Double standard. The sole purpose of the seminar is to just let us know basically the Dos and Don'ts dba. Tama ba? For Philippine citizens, there should also be seminars held at the embassy at the country of their usual residence. Malabo eh.

haha.. this is a requirement of our Phil immigration only (sa Phil airport)..
so how can they control yung mga nasa ibang bansa na diretso na sa AU?

Nyaaaay hahaha kaluka ba :D

Believe me, the seminar is a waste of money and most importantly time...

If information lang kailangan mo, you can downloan a bazillion more information from the net and read it at your own leisure. IMHO, reading and becoming an active forumer dito sa PinoyAu is also giving out information.

Speaking of oec, i still dont get the purpose, but thats another story.

The intention of this cfo is good (and other ofw/ migrant related projects) but laging ang problema naman sa atin is implementation part sa baba. Can be due to incompetence, corruptions, confusing regulations, power trip, etc. Madalas may butas sa controls at na bypass. I've been involved in a massive project with govt through pagc and worldbank to fight corruptions before and observed that the system and culture of corruptions is so deeply rooted. Theres a lot of good people in the govt is just that tone of the top lang karaniwang problems. Godbless pinas.

For this cfo, if kasabay ko family ko aalis sa pinas pa oz i might attend this, if not at sg kami manggaling hindi na din siguro.

IMHO, it is indeed a waste of money. The 400 pesos registration fee is too much for the sticker and the seminar itself. So kung family, mas malaking gastos as you will have to shell out 400 pesos per person.

sis @jengrata, for # 2, you still need to attend the Seminar and have the CFO Sticker attached to your passport. Yan yung sinabi sa amin sa Seminar hehe

    Questions:

    1. What if i will be coming from another country, should i need to go back to PH and register at CFO?
    Answer: No need
    2. If i came from other country, didnt register at CFO, went to AU, and need to go back PH for a vacation, will i be asked for a CFO registration at the PH immigration?
    Answer: No

Disclaimer: all answers are based from my friends' experiences. Please correct me if someone experienced otherwise.
    I am a bit skeptical about #2... :)

Sis @peach17 of course yun ang sasabihin nila. Hehehe. Pero in reality, di nmn yun ang nangyayari. Kung mabuti kang citizen, you will abide by the process. However, there are times na you ought to choose whats the easiest and most convenient way. Lalo kung may time constraint.

Hehehe.

Questions po regarding sa pagfill-up ng form for PDOS:
    1. Address & Contact Numbers (Country of Destination) - what if wala pa po kami definite na titirhan sa AU, pwede ba i-leave blank?
    3. Economic Status: Employed, Self-employed or Unemployed - during the time na magseminar kami, we will be unemployed na. Pero sa choices ng unemployed are housewife, student, retiree, not reporting and occupation. Ano po tamang i-tick?
    3. Petitioner's Data - pwede ba lagyan ng NOT APPLICABLE?

    Salamat po!
