@peach17 simple lang gumawa ng CV na pang Odd jobs.. back to basic lang, yung tipong wala kang experience at all.. tapos kapag nainterview ka.. kapag nagtanong sila saka mo na lang sasabihin ang mga past experiences mo.. ganun kasi ang ginawa ko eh

So far naman, wala pa akong naencounter dito sa pinoyau na mga walang hiya magbigay ng comments. hahaha... sorry for the term. Pero kung masubukan nyo bumisita sa site ng pinoysg, naku katakot takot na payabangan at pang-aalaska ang aabutin dun. Di ko nga maintindihan mentality ng ibang pinoys dito sa SG eh. hayysss...

ay ganun po ba, bakit kaya nag iiba ang mentality ng mga pinoy pag nakaka punta ng SG?

Being foreigners sa SG, pwede natin sisihin mga local dun sa bansa na yun. Sila iyun mga high and mighty tingin nila sa sarili nila at dahil sa current environment nila, napilitan sila na maging pushy and get things done immediately attitude. Kung gusto mo magtagal sa SG, kelangan mo makipag sabayan sa kanila. Bottomline is yun current environment ng SG supports that way of life and kung ayaw mo siya then need to go out of SG but most of us were not willing to go back to pinas kaya yun iba nag australia at nandito na ngayon or in the process of getting here. Pero iwas ako in directly branding SG as bad, kasi for some mas ok situation nila dun sa SG and after experiencing Australia, binalikan rin nila ang SG but now on an Australian passport.

@peach17 haha nakausap ko na friend ko siya magtuturo sa akin ng basic haircutting. she studied and worked at vidal sassoon shanghai.. let me know if interested kayo group session, i have no idea pa on how much the price is. Inopen ko lang sa kanya yung idea kung gusto niya tumanggap ng ganuong classes hehe.

Even if it is an odd job, just be true in your CV. There are many ways of finding out your true identity. Just mention in your cover letter or application letter that you are still in the process of finding opportunities in your profession and that (the odd job) will be a great start.
They will accept you if they feel honesty in your application. If you will be scheduled for an interview, then it is your time to expalin and convince them, even thru phone or online interview.

I have a question lang po. di ko kasi alam where to post na existing thread, sorry if OT. anyways, magtatanong lang ako regarding tax. I was offered to do partime job in my current employer, 4 hrs. a day. Do I have to declare it and will I be taxed? Im weighing kasi if tatanggapin ko ba ang offer, medyo mababa kasi ang salary compared to the income I will get if i'll be hired there. But the good thing about this offer is that I can take care of my son and still have an income since i'll be working home.

If it is a cash job; it is up to you if you declare it...

i think para magkaroon ng "odd job" we should apply for an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and/or an RCG (...Gambling) certificate... that is kung gusto natin sa mga bars, hotels, casino, or anything that require service...kung housekeeping naman, di ko lang sure kng ano ang cert. dun pero all these makukuha naman ng isang araw lang...i tried to get my RSA yesterday hoping magka-odd job as room attendant sa isang hotel...i'm a CPA by the way pero someone told me as long as naipasok mo na ang isang paa mo sa door, then you will have better opportunities dun sa work area na yun to apply...wish me luck mates!
