Happy 2020 to all! I'm very pleased to announce that we have reached the 1 DECADE milestone! This is a proof that we continue to hold the title "Longest running Filipino Australian Forum" on the net! This will not be possible without your continued support , especially to those who kept on visiting us and helping others with their AU journey. To those who has already successfully migrated please don't forget us and continue to support our kababayan who will be next in line, while to those who are still in progress, we hope and wish you the best. May this year be a great year to everyone. Thank you!
Welcome to the New and Upgraded Pinoy AU Forum! We have only updated a couple of times since 2010. Apology it took some time. Some of the features are still being migrated. Please feel free to report here or email me at [email protected] if you will encounter any issues. Thank you.

    Good day everyone!

About EA, I have a few questions:

    1. How long will I have to wait before EA provide the result?
    2. How do I know if my documents were received by EA?
    3. Do I need to wait for the assessment of EA before I proceed with the skill select?

    Thanks and more power!

    Best regards.

    @butchokoy9 Madam, naguguluhan nga kayo.hehe :D

Are you an engineer planning to migrate to Australia? If yes, let me give you a brief summary:

There is what I call a two step process: 1) skills assessment and 2) visa application.
    STEP 1
    1. You need to have your skills assessed by Engineers Australia. Please read this booklet: https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/shado/About Us/Migration Skills Assessment/migration_skills_assessment_booklet.pdf

However, before you apply for a skills assessment from EA, you need to have the following:
    - Completed Application Form, with passport-style photo
    - Application fee
    - Form to appoint person to act as agent [if necessary]
    - Certified true copy of passport bio-data page only (not the complete passport), and English language translation (if not in English) [Where this is not available, a copy of your Birth Certificate and/or National Identify Card may be acceptable in lieu]
    - Certified true copy of name change document [If necessary]
    - Original English language test (IELTS) result [if necessary]. You must arrange for this to be forwarded directly to Engineers Australia from the Test Centre.
    - Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resumé
    - Certified true copy of academic testamur(s)
    - Certified true copies of academic transcript(s)
    - Certified evidence of registration under the relevant licensing authority in the country in which you are practising [if necessary] e.g. Philippine Regulations Commission
    - Certified documentary evidence of employment [must be provided if you have relevant work experience of 12 months or more, or if the work experience provides a basis of a career episode(s)]
    - A listing of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
    - CDR Declaration Page
    - Three Career Episodes
    - Summary Statement of evidence for the competency elements
    - English language translations of above, where applicable

    2. As soon as you receive a positive skills assessment from EA, you can now proceed to STEP 2: Visa Application.

I'll explain Step 2 later. For the time being, please read Migration Skills Assessment booklet as it will guide you on Step 1. For additional info, please check EA's website for migration skills assessment: https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/about-us/migration-skills-assessment

-mine took more or less 5-6mos of waiting.. submitted CDR july 2012 receive confirmation and requesting ielts on dec 2012.

    2. How do I know if my documents were received by EA?

    - they will email you to confirm

    3. Do I need to wait for the assessment of EA before I proceed with the skill select?

-yes because you need to confirm that you got a positive assessment before you add that as additional points in your skill select..

    Hope that helps :)

sir, after a week or two after mareceive ni EA ung documents, you should be receiving acknowledgement receipt from them. But depende din po sa mail system. Sa pinas kc inaabot ng months ung mail minsan nawawala pa.

If gusto nyo makasigurado, pde po kau mag-email sa knila asking to confirm if nareive ba ung docs nyo. Ginawa ko narin yun before kc nkalagay sa tracking ko failed delivery pero may nareceive ako mailed receipt. Sumasagot nmn cla.
May times lng daw na naooverlook nila ung mga emails kya if wala sagot pde nyo tawagan. The email and fon numbers are on their website.

@lock_code2004 sir, kelangan ba talaga kapag nagpa assess ka as Professional Engineer me PRC license ka kahit di naman pina practice sa pilipinas? Tumawag ako sa EA this afternoon sinusubukan ko i-appeal yung nominated occupation ko from Engineering Technologist to Electrical Engineer. Sa tingin mo ba possible na mabago without the PRC license? Thanks!

@lock_code2004 sir, kelangan ba talaga kapag nagpa assess ka as Professional Engineer me PRC license ka kahit di naman pina practice sa pilipinas? Tumawag ako sa EA this afternoon sinusubukan ko i-appeal yung nominated occupation ko from Engineering Technologist to Electrical Engineer. Sa tingin mo ba possible na mabago without the PRC license? Thanks!
im not sure about changing from a technologist to prof engineer..

bkt ka ba nagpa-assess ng technologist? kung approved na, bkt di mo ituloy kung may occupation code nmn nyan sa SOL?
