Madam kung POSB/DBS (di ko lang sure sa ibang banks, DBS kasi ako) ang bank mo, pwde na po yung overseas transfer feature nila. Medyo hindi lang ako nagagandahan sa rates nila hahahaha. Wala nga transfer fee, pero ambaba naman ng rates. Dun binawi HAHA.
Kung meron kang Revolut pwede rin yun, ok ang rate, then mababa ang fee, pero S$5k max monthly lang. Baka masyado mababa for you as starting money there since family kayo. So baka mas ok na rin yung direct bank transfer option.

Bring the money in AU dollars. Then declare it sa border. Merong form for 10,000 aud and above.
Based sa border security na napanood ko, kailangan mo rin magdala ng documentation
kung saan galing yung pera like withdrawal slip sa bank or passbook, pwede rin siguro yung
forex or money changer rin na documentation para hindi masuspect ng money laundering.
Mataas parin ang value ng pera mo pagdating sa AU.

Maactivate mo siya pagnandito ka na kasi di pa siya nakaroaming.
You need passport, and au address kasi ireregister mo muna siya bago maactivate yung sim card mo.
Pwede siya pero, pagdating mo sa terminal sa sydney, free naman ang wifi, then magregister ka sa online, iattach mo ang passport, and intended address, after 1 hour mo pa magagamit yung phone mo.
Gamitin mo nalang muna ang messenger and phone features sa FB para tawagan yung susundo sa iyo.
Bago ka aalis sa Pilipinas tip lang, yung phone niyo nareset niyo na, Australia na dapat yung country sa smartphone niyo. Kasi meron di maaccess na apps na nakarestrict lang sa AU.
Example: Maccas and marami pa na di ko natandaan. Pero kung nagawa niyo na ito, di niyo narin magagamit yung apps sa Pilipinas example: Food Panda
