When I registered to take IELTS under British Council, they provided reviewers and exercises online. No sure if other providers do the same.

You didn't use other review material aside from the one provided by the British Council?

I took IELTS last year and only used the materials provided by the British Council too. I did not get the score I needed but I was able to use it for my skills assessment.

Have you considered taking PTE instead? Nauna ako mag take ng PTE but got Competent only. Nung nag try ako IELTS was able to get Proficient.

Actually, I consider taking PTE but ung schedule ng exam dito sa SG is not aligned with my off day. They only have test dates available during weekdays. Will try to weigh things din siguro muna. Thank you :)

    Hello guys!

For visa 190 acceptable ang IELTS for 3 years validity. Is it the same for visa 189? Or only 2 years validity?

    Thanks a lot!

Hello! I plan to retake the IELTS to increase my points and improve my chances of getting invited. I recommend using review materials like the Cambridge IELTS series, websites like IELTS Liz and British Council, and apps like IELTS Prep and Magoosh.

Hey there! Retaking the IELTS to improve your score for the invitation is a great strategy. There are tons of fantastic resources out there to help you achieve that Superior level. Here are a few options to consider:

    • Official IELTS Website: The https://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/ website offers a wealth of free preparation materials, including sample test questions, answer keys, and practice tests. It's a great starting point to familiarize yourself with the test format and expectations.
    • IELTS Practice Apps: There are several well-regarded apps like Elixir IELTS or Road to IELTS that offer interactive practice tests, personalized feedback, and vocabulary building exercises. These can be a convenient way to study on the go.
    • IELTS Prep Courses: If you prefer a more structured approach, consider enrolling in an IELTS preparation course offered by local test centers or online platforms. These courses provide in-depth instruction, personalized feedback from experienced teachers, and a chance to connect with other test-takers.

Here are some additional tips that might be helpful:

    • Identify your weaknesses: Analyze your previous IELTS score report and focus on areas that need the most improvement. Whether it's reading comprehension, writing fluency, or speaking accuracy, target those sections with dedicated practice.
    • Immerse yourself in English: Surround yourself with English as much as possible. Read English news articles, watch movies and shows with subtitles, and try to converse with native speakers whenever possible. The more exposure you have, the more comfortable you'll feel with the language.
    • Practice timed tests: Time management is crucial for the IELTS. Simulate the actual test environment by practicing full-length sections under timed conditions. This will help you stay focused and manage your time effectively during the exam.

Remember, consistency is key! Dedicate some time each day to studying and practicing. With the right resources and a focused approach, you'll definitely see improvement in your IELTS score and increase your chances of getting that invitation!
