Using PH credit card in AU

melodymanmelodyman Davao CityPosts: 7Member

Hi.

Meron ba dito na dinala ang credit card sa Australia and used it for around 3-6 months? May I know anong bank yun? I definitely need to bring credit and debit cards while wala pang work but just in case jobless for few months, I am thinking of using my credit card.

Na pre-approved kasi ako sa Security Bank Platinum (Mastercard) then planning to upgrade to from BPI Gold to BPI platinum (options are Signature, Visa Platinum and Amore cash back). I'm looking for the lowest rates na card that I can use in AU.

Thanks.

Some did this. Just make sure to call your bank before departing; inform them of your travel dates and what country you will use your card/s. We're still not in Au but, we already called our banks para di mahold/decline yung transactions namin when we get there.

I did. BDO mastercard, until now nagagamit ko pa din. It has been 6yrs. If optus pa mobile mo, you can call them for free. BDO app will also work sa AU. Kaso OTP mo kailangan ph number. So dapat may contact ka sa pinas na puwede batuhan ng OTP to set up your BDO app

I'm still using my CITI PH and SBC card pero mostly for PH transactions na lang while i'm here in AU like say online purchases na for needs sa PH. Kahit anong bank kasi, ang mahal ng conversion rate. Also, make sure na you're bringing a sim na may roaming just in case need mo lagi mag OTP. Ako I have my GOMO sim, and kinikeep ko pa din sya kasi lahat ng government and banks ko sa PH have that number.

By the way, I saw sa e-signature ninyo (not sure of the term), March 2023 na received yung pre-invite ninyo after passing the medical exam?

Yung GOMO SIM mo, prepaid po ba or postpaid? Around how much naman yung charge per SMS?

it's prepaid, pero it's nonexpiring kasi so no need to topup all the time. No charge for sms.
