Salamat mg kaibigan...at least May benchmark na yung mga kasama natin sa forum for their future reference. Have a good weekend :) good luck Arch Onin. WA is a good region, best place to raise a family, with good beaches everywhere tsaka Maluwag Dito. If not for our pressing priorities, I could've still stayed here :)

Gusto ko rin malaman to. Pero ung samin naman, if ever ma-grant kami ng visa plano sana namin maginitial entry sa Melbourne by June or July. Tapos magpapaiwan na dun wife ko to look for temporary work while me and baby will go back to SG. Plan namin to permanently move to WA is by march/april2015 so dun pa lang lilipat ang wife ko.

    Thank you

Happy New year mga kapatid...sorry sa delay ng response. I arrived here in NSW nung pasko kaya tamang tama ang timing.

Anyway, to answer all of your question, I will try my best to summarise para may benchmark kayo

    1. What did you provide to the state when you requested to be free from 2 year obligation to stay... did they request anything before your approval?

    - Don't get me wrong...if there is one area that I would so much love to stay, that will be Western Australia...nothing wrong with Sydney but i'm an outdoor person. Love ko ang WA kasi para siyang isang malaking playground, tubig sa kanan, big field sa kaliwa but I need to get a more permanent work

    - I provided about 36 rejection letters (email) from all companies I applied for. Unfortunately mining is not doing well in the last quarter hence daming walang trabaho. I was lucky that I got a job after a month arriving but volunteer/casual work can only pay the bills but can't build a family. Tapos unfortunately they only local experience. The WA skilled migration will have 4 questions and you will be able to answer it easily :)
    in th elo
    2. ilang weeks bgo naibigay ang release?
    - I lodged my letter 26 nov. It was released 8 Dec so mabilis siya :)

How many months kaya (or weeks) ako pwedeng magstay temporarily in other states just to obtain that IED requirement before ako magstay permanently sa nominated state ko (2 years min in 4 years).. Balak ko sana pumunta muna ng Melbourne before WA.

No idea with IED requirements. Based from your story, you will stay muna sa Victoria dahil may kamaganak ka (kayo) and eventually move to WA. As for staying temporarily, walang restrictions. Ang obligation is for you to stay in your State sponsored area for 2 years upon entry. even if that was the case, you can stay muna sa ibang states bago sa SS. Make sure:

    a. 2 years of 5 years PR Visa (I assume PR ka)
    b. Register sa Skilled Migration once you are in your state sponsored area - in this case WA

Tama sinabi ni Tas Burfoot...no one is stopping you both..But take note, be mindful on what you do...ultimately ang goal niyo, natin lahat is to get the Citizen status. So by not following instructions or did not disclose might ultimately catch up on you in the long run.

If you want to know more, I suggest that you read the initial thread kasi doon nagsimula ang timetable ko at ano yung mga nangyari para "scientific" approach yung gagawin ninyo. Though di siya rocket science kasi madali lang talaga..especially if you have more than 30 rejection letters :)

    Cheers and Happy New Year!

    Hey Guys,

Share ko lang din recent experience ko since I'm in the same boat.

I'm holding a WA state sponsored visa. I arrived here in May (May 17 at 5 am ) :)) and reported my arrival to WA on the same week. I concentrated my job applications here but medyo quiet kasi ang industry ko. After a month of job rejections, I tried sending my resume to other states too. Fortunately, nagka-offer ako sa Sydney so I asked for WA's consent to set me free.

They asked me 5 questions (why I am moving to another state, how long I've been in WA etc). Iyong content ng reply ko was along the lines of - I intended to live and settle here but walang opportunity. I included the emails from companies (same industry) telling me that mobility is quiet and there are no opportunities within the next few months. I also included the job offer email (di ko na sinama ang contract).

Mabilis naman sila nagreply. Nagrespond lang sila telling me that if I move to another state, I have to keep them updated of my contact details and to continue answering their surveys.

    Hope this helps.

    Oooppps kulang....

I also included a screenshot of 40+ rejection letters. Key is - be transparent lang sa experiences niyo sa job hunt. At the end of the day goal din nila ang maka-settle tayo ng maayos. :D

@Chill thanks for sharing po. very helpful po ito.
I've read from page 1, August ka nasa WA then November ka nagpost dito sa forum na nagsubmit ka ng release request letter. to be exact, yung 36 rejection letters mo ay 3 months ka seriously nag-apply for work po?

@anjcostelo That's good! after a month lang pwede na.. @Chill and @anjcostelo, congrats at napayagan kyo ng state nyo to be released from WA.
so when you started applying in another state, di ba sila nagtatanong if may obligation ka upon advising them na naka-190 visa? so it means other state doesn't care about your obligation sa sponsoring state as long as you are eligible to work in another state thru PR visa
This is good news, sana same din regulation sa South Au!
@RepotSirc, may nabalitaan ka na ba na from SA na on similar situation?

Just wanna share po yung experience ko..Hope this helps
We arrived in SA first week of April. Look for jobs (including odd jobs) until June. No luck there. :( Almost 50 unsuccessful applications. I decided to email Migration SA to explain our situation (unsuccessful applications and financial status). I have attached copies of our "rejection" letters from companies we have applied for. The next day we received a reply from migration SA reminding us of our moral obligation and they cannot provide me with an official consent to move to other state. But they appreciate my decision to take a position interstate rather than be unemployed. They expect us to continue to look for work in SA, once I have gained some work experience interstate.
We moved in QLD last July and somehow obtained work. We still do apply jobs in SA. We would love to be back in SA and serve the 2 year moral obligation. :) We plan to move back in SA before the 5 year validity of our visa and applying citizenship.

Anyway as for me,1 month after arriving in Adelaide I got a 10 week contract as a Network Engineer at na-renew nmn ng once ang contract ko and then naging sunod-sunod na ung mga interviews ko at ngaun meron nako permanent na work. I still really want to move to either to Syd or Mel pero si misis gusto na raw nya dito sa Adelaide. Sobrang laidback and lifestyle dito (I mean it in a nice way and I am starting to like this lifestyle) and ang mga tau dito contento na sa pag-barbi sa mga park every weekend, pero mukha nmn sila masaya.

Another thing, just want to share ung ni-reply saken ng CO ko regarding the moral obligation, kayo na po bahala mag-interpret sa sinabi nya, kung kasing sumagot sila kulang at bitin.

    Dear RepotSirc (not true name)

Thank you for your email. It is not a condition of your visa that you reside in South Australia, but an agreement for state sponsorship between you and the state that sponsored you. It is not an Immigration matter. Please contact your state to discuss with them if you decide to live outside of SA. Please see the link to our website for your obligations relating to state sponsorship.
