WAITING FOR INVITATION/ NOMINATION

Hi, anybody here losing hope of ever getting an invitation or nomination from AU? Labas mo sama ng loob mo sa universe at sa Pilipinas dito. Haha. Jk.

On a more serious note, I’ve been waiting for almost a year na din. Recent 189 invites for my profession (Agricultural Engineer 233912 is 95 points sa 189), I currently have 85 points. This coming October I’ll have additional 5 points from having 8 years of experience. So I got that to look forward.

On the edge on getting that NAATI certificate but sobrang nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa. Worse is I might get passed on again tapos baka next year tumaas na sa 100 points yung occupational ceiling sa amin. Hayss.

I just really wanna get out of the Philippines na, I know that I’m putting a lot of my eggs like 10/12 into AU. I don’t have any generational wealth to back into. I’m all doing these on my measly income. Thinking that I could all get it back once I get that golden visa. Pero there are times na sobrang mapapaisip ka na lang if I’m just throwing money into nothing..

Well, I got 1/2 years into my EA skills assessment until I pay another for renewal - still paying that badboy every month kasi kinaskas lang. Lol. And I got 1/3 years into that PTE scores. Time is still my friend pero it is also a bitch. Had I been a year earlier (wayback 2022), when 189 invites rain like there was no tomorrow baka onshore na din ako.

Like many hopefuls, I hope we all receive our well deserved invites and grants. I know that there will be realists and harsh comments that might flood here sending reality checks such as: well di ka dapat umasa sa di sigurado, or it is a privilege not a right, or other hateful comments. We are all dreamers, we all hoped for a better future. I’m just hoping…

Spread love.. Let us hope that this holiday season matupad na yung gift na hinihiling natin.

@MidnightPanda12 for me, get naati, maybe I'm on the same boat as you before. Wala ding generation wealth. Medyo hesitant ako nung una kasi ang mahal ng Naati, pero ang nasa isip ko during that time is not about money, its about time and regret later on na sasabhin ko sa sarili ko, sana pala nag take ako nang naati, or dapat pala nag pa max points talaga ako. Halos wala nadin ako pag asa kasi biglang nag lock down due to covid, then buti nag introduce si naati ng online hehe. Fastforward andito na kame sa landdownunder. So, don't lose hope, keep praying, in God's perfect timing it will happen. Cheers.

i agree, take naati na. push lang ng push for that additional pts. that +5 will definitely help you.

by october, 85 (current pts) + 5 (work exp) + 5 (naati) = 95 pts.

who knows, baka magkaroon ng 189 invitation round before this year ends, and you'll get that golden invitation 💌✨

Thanks @MidnightPanda12 for creating awareness sa mga future migrants, hopeful pa din na dumami pa mag maiinvite dito. Tapos sana mainvite ka na din! in God's will. I will not ask you to wait in vain but wait for it and be strong, love all about the journey -i know how frustrating it is to wait - if it happens it happens you will get invited.
Free mangarap and that keeps us going. Para walang regrets -do whatever it takes lang sa abot nang kaya don't force it if di pa kaya - you have your own time, things will happen for the best para sa yo.

Especially I would be able to reach that 95 points pag nakapag NAATI na ako. Sa sobrang paranoid ko nga kagabi napasearch din ako kung gaano kadami ba allocations for 189 and kung gaano kadami na nainvite.

Sabi sa planning level 16,900 ang allocations for 189 invitation. They invited around 8,000 this September, so still half.

So yeah, sana nga we could have invitations na same this September…

I've been in AU 2x for work o short projects from my previous employeer..It was a very good experience....I was asked by my boss before kung anung masasabi ko sa AU sabi okay lng nmn..sinabihan ba nmn ako ng andami2 daw gusto pumunta sa AU tapos sabihin ko okay lng daw..haha

Had I asked for sponsoship before baka binigyan ako..kc isa sa katrabaho was offered sponsorship recently although that time hindi pa ako decided 100% to migrate..na home sick ako..lol..I guess isa to sa what ifs ko..hehe

Moved on from that company then pandemics hits nagiba perspective..the decision to pursue AU migration is more for my kids..

Just booked my NAATI Test Date. Haha. Fingers crossed na makapasa tayo. Lol.

@MidnightPanda12 goooosebumps naman dito sa statement mo. i'm also in the same boat, pero let's keep on fighting! more than a year na ako but my suggestion is, just max the points whatever you can.

On the other hand, if may nakikita kang option aside from the fact of being hopeless sa AU, andyan pa si NZ para sa student then within 2yrs possible PR na. cross country na lang if ever. 😀

may ilan months pa before sa new FY. laban lang. 🙏😀

Goodluck! kayang kaya mo yan! Tip ko lang is relax, take your time and keep practicing. I remember may mock tests yata yung NAATi and you can try it so you can familiarize yourself with how the exam works para iwas shock and panic on the day itself.

Figure out kung ano and weakness mo..if its translating from tagalog to english or english to tagalog and focus on that. Nerves talaga ang nakakapagmental block kaya make sure that you are calm and that you have a quiet room to use during the exam itself para walang distractions (diko sure if may in person tests na ba sa Pinas haha)

Plus, I think kelangan na talaga nating magtayo ng emotional support group for those waiting 1 year and above Yakap ng mahigpit kapatid. Malalagpasan din natin itong invitation waiting game, and ma-uupgrade sa next stage of waiting which is visa grant naman hihi

Lodging your Expression of Interest (EOI) by yourself? Waiting too long and still have not received any invite? Accuracy in your EOI is critical. Not to mention strategic approach is a must as well to increase your chances of getting invited sooner. Here's why:
For the skilled visas - 189, 190 and 491, your 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 must meet two key conditions:
1. It should 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝 the score stated in your visa invitation.
2. It should meet the qualifying score for these visas - 65 points minimum.
Why does this matter? Invitations are based on the information you provide on your EOI. You must be able to present documents supporting your claim and if you fail to do so, your visa application may be 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝.
⚠️𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞s:

• unintentionally providing incorrect data
• expired English test and skills assessment outcome

  There is nothing wrong with DIY, in fact a lot of aspiring migrants have made it to Australia on their own. However, if you are a DIYer, I bet there's always that struggle to get that peace of mind towards your journey....but do you know, you can actually have your EOI reviewed by a qualified immigration specialist? If you're on a tight budget, get at least feedback from an expert - you might just be up for a surprise when you discover much more information and tips to help you in your Australian journey.

Thank you @LogisitcsBoy and @loopyrabbit , it really is hard. Mental fortitude, hope and faith in yourself talaga ang kailangan. Especially if your occupation is not a priority for AU. You feel like you’ve done everything in your power but still kulang pa din. Then you also worry that everything that you’ve worked for is for nothing. Mauuwi lang sa wala. Yung mga pera na ginastos mo is masasayang lang. So you have to keep hoping. That’s why this forum is really hopeful. Since we all have different people in here. Mga nagsisimula pa lang, mga years++ na sa AU and citizen na, MARA such as Ms. @RheaMARN1171933 , and mga hopefuls like us na naghihintay ng invites. Different walks of life and different experiences.

Magagawa na lang natin is maghintay at umasa.

Also, Thank you po ulit Ms. Rhea, for the input this is so insightful, I know DIYers are really squeezing their braincells trying to check and see the different rules and interpret them as best as they can because of their tight budget. This bit of advice can go a long way for us po. I agree with maxing out your points as much as possible. Nandyan na po ako now. And hopefully I can get my positive or passing rate on NAATI to maximize my points.

Right now, I’m waiting for my occupation points to get maximized, as I have started working last October 3, 2016. Hopefully it will be reflected before October 10 or 15th.

Ah thanks for the special mention hehe….i try to pay forward…been there done that. I know exactly why you all want to leave - exact reason why I left many moons ago. Unfortunately, in Philippines, good education from a prestigious university won’t be enough to guarantee a better future. Australia opened doors for me hence I’m passionate about contributing as much insights I can about this journey.

With regards to finances…I tell my clients, they owe it to themselves to try than not to do anything about it. Don’t think about the money na masasayang. It’s an investment. If it doesn’t wiork, mababawi mo yung hi Adri’s mo but the opportunity, you are only given a certain timeline to make it. If you’ve missed that chance that’s it, hindi na mababawi.

Hi, question po sana about overseas experience for the last 10 years

My ACS assessment recognises my skilled employment from January 2012, with my work experience sa Philippinese until March 2022. After that, my experience has been in Australia. Given that the EOI only considers a maximum of 10 years for points calculation, ilang years na po ang pwede ko iclaim sa experience ko?
Does it mean from October 2014 to March 2022 na lang po and 10 points na lang kasi less than 8 years na sya 😢

I am a DIYer.

I made a mistake in my EOI lodging, specifically choosing the state. I thought I ticked VIC, but unconsciously, I ticked SA on 8 February 2024. When I reviewed my EOI for VIC on 8 August 2024, I saw my mistake and updated it. Then, I lodged my ROI for VIC on 15 August 2024 and got invited for VIC 190 on 27 August 2024, which was granted on 2 October 2024.

If I haven't reviewed my EOI again, then I will not receive an invite from VIC since the EOI that I tied with my VIC ROI does not match. In that EOI, SA was ticked instead of VIC. So, maybe that was why I wasn't invited in the last round of VIC for 2023.

So, for all DIYers, check everything carefully.

Just to give inspiration po sa mga nasa waiting for invitation or nomination po.

Just a month ago, I’m close to giving up and losing hope of ever getting invited. Fast forward to November 7, 2024, just 2 days before the anniversary of my EOI lodging, I received an invitation po for SC 189, arguably one of the best skilled visa to get. Kahit na nangangarap lang ako ng SC 491 since SC 189 are usually given to priority occupations in education, medicine and construction.

My visa has been lodged, exactly one year after I lodged my EOI. My AU dream journey is far from over, we will keep on hoping, keep our head high waiting for our turn. Do not regret anything, for at least you have tried po.

Do everything in your power po to make it happen, and if it is destined, mangyayari po yan.
