NSW State Sponsorship

Question lang po sana...matagal ba talaga magsend ng email confirmation ang NSW? Kasi na-receive na nila yung documents ko (according to the courier tracking) last April 2. But, up to now, wala pa din akong email confirmation from them.

@hotshot maybe its a good sign ha. (feeling ko lng ha, i feel discouraged na kasi). ang documents ko as per DHL dumating ng mar28 morning dun. i check the tracking kasi upon my arrival dito sa ofis. then mga 11am that same day meron na sa email ko. parang feeling ko ni hindi man binuklat ang documents ko and upon seeing my education assessment diresto na cguro sa rejection officer. wala pa naman ung letter nila pero syempre i should expect the worst. oh well bka paranoid lng ako.

Okay just a few infos regarding NSW SS process.

1. Yun confirmation email, which is just an email containing the receipt for the AUD300 by the way, is usually sent the next working day. Before lunch dito nun na-receive ko yun akin.
2. As for the results letter, 2 weeks lang meron na sila result. Yun sa akin wala ako na-receive na email from them. Na-receive ko na lang yun rejection letter through courier mailman 3-4 weeks after they received my application.
3. Yun letter of appeal ko til now hindi pa sila sumasagot, siguro hindi na nila papansinin. Although yun nga masama lang loob ko kasi misinformed ako nun officer nila. Oh well. Buti pa si ACS mabilis sumagot, haha. Ayun nga additional info, kahit section 3 pala school mo pwede ka pa din ma-assess as AQF Degree.. important is subjects and course taken up. So hindi masyado factor un sectioning ng school. Although na-mention sakin nun CO sa ACS na ang reference lang nila is yun CEP and meron sila assessors dun.

I hope na-enlighten tayo dito.

@Bryann thanks po sa info. hmmm...bigla ako kinabahan. kasi April 2 pa dumating ang docs ko sa kanila pero wala pa din email from them. dapat na ba ako mag-worry? pwede kaya mag-email sa kanila?

Mag-email ka na lang po sa kanila and ask for a receipt. Wala naman problem yun hindi sila maiinis, by the way nagreply na sila sa akin. Senior officer un nagreply hindi yun officer na sumagot ng queries ko and nagbigay ng wrong info about Bachelor's Degree qualification. Sabi niya ayun nga they want to apologize for any inconvenience caused, hindi nga daw na-take into account sa sagot nila yun question ko about AQF Degree. Sabi ko suggestion update nila yun website nila para sabihin AQF ang requirement na qualification. Kasi sa DIAC naman naka-indicate eh. Sa kanila hindi kaya confusing.

Anyway sabi nga ng friend ko dito sa forum nun magkausap kami, you won't know til you try. Mas okay na yun you tried and failed, kaysa naman sa future iniisip mo what could have been. Think positive lang po, AQF degree naman assessment sayo. Okay na yan. Latest na nyan last week of April or 1st week ng May meron ka na matatanggap sa mail mo na result letter na positive.

Hearing their explanation to you, I just felt rejected din ako. But I am still hoping kasi bka i-consider naman nila na honor graduate ako. Oh well, wala pa naman ung letter nila pero ngayon pa lang I am planning to appeal. Parang its just a matter of waiting for the rejection letter para mag-email ako sa kanila. hehe

Balak kong mag-add ng supporting documents, sabi mo nga we'll never know until we try. I have an aunt there in NSW who is willing to sponsor us so include din ako letter from her, then I include my husband's qualification. He's a registered archi tapos positively assessed ng vetassess as civil engr draftperson, plus I am planning to include our show money. May ipon na rin naman kami kasi nakapagwork na si husband sa Europe.

Bernardo po b lastname mo? Dumating na ung letter ko from NSW. As expected, rejected. Tapos ung nasa greetings ko Dear Mr. Bernardo. Parang nalimutan pang i-edit. Gather pa ko ng additional documents ko then email ko sila for reconsideration. Pag-ni-reject nila ako, end of the road na, maybe its not meant to be SOL2 kasi ako, there is no other way than state sponsorship.

Open lng po skill ko sa NSW or NT. Gusto ko n lng kumanta ng... "I did my best but I guess my best wasn't good enough" waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

@nylram_1981 : 5 points na lang po ba ang kulang niyo? ang naiisip ko pong ibang ways to get that remaining points ay: (1) partner skills points; (2) appeal to ACS na gawing AQF degree equivalent ang qualifications nyo if this is NSW's reason for rejecting the sponsorship application; (3) re-take IELTS and aim for 8.0.

Well, reason nila is madami daw sila na-receive letters this past 2 months and have overlooked some items. Kasi daw anticipation sa July changes, kaya madami nag-apply. Ayun. Anyway there is no appealing to NSW SS, kasi un ang criteria and requirements nila. Even if fault nila na hindi na-inform maayos, I guess responsibility ko pa din to double check and triple check the requirements. Anyway, have to move forward.

@nylram_1981 - dont give up.. if this wont work maybe there is another route for you.. who knows mas favorable pala ang skill select syo.. or makakita ka agad ng employer who can sponsor you..

in the meantime, dont think about that.. do what do you think is necessary at this point..

another option is have your skills re-assess sa mga skills sa SOL1...
baka pede mo iconvert yung skills mo sa mga skills sa SOL1.... alam mo naman ang IT, overlapping ang skillset natin... ako developer programmer ako pero ginagawa ko rin ang task ng analyst/programmer, QA, Software Engineer etc...

so baka pede mo masahiin ng konti yung experience mo para magfit sa isa sa mga skills sa SOL1...

pero since aabutan ka na ng skill select nun, siguro mas ok na wait kung ano mangyayari sa skill-select sa july. pero never give-up your australian dream.

Naisip ko nga din un. Kung alam ko lng na magkakaganito sana Software Engr na lng nominate ko. Pasok din naman dun work ko. Pero mas swak kasi ang SysAd kaya yun ang ni-nominate ko.

why not try to ask the advice from migration agent baka may ways pa na makapasok ka,,ako b4 lahat ng fre assesment pinadalhan ko ng resume,,,kas pag hindi mkaya ask the migration agent who knows?tsaka klibre nman ang assesment....don't lose hope unang sabak mo palang....try all posible things....ako nga b4 lalmost 99 % ng assesment ko s amigration agent failure pero when i tried it myself nakalusot pa rin....nakasakay pa sa huling byahi...so payo ko...seek first the advice from migration agent.....ok....and pray for god kasi siya lang ang nakakaalm ng lahat....
