Hi @aolee, Thanks for sending the file. I will share my experience about IELTS after my exam on Sept 3. Easy lang sa work, mase-settle din iyan. Yup, I am willing to contribute, since I already received my assessment from ACS, I can help to answer some questions about ACS Application (on the other thread).

mga sir and mam sa tingin nyo po gano po katagal and accurate na pag review? how many months usually po? kasi tulad ko eh may work po and most of the time eh night shift po ako. pro nag enroll na po ako sa review center, kaso po naasigned po ako dito sa japan. balik sa pinas na po ako this september, so tuloy ko na po yung pag review together with my wife. I want to plan my review schedule ahead of time since i have my work. thank you po and godbless us all!

Kung sanay na po kayo sa english language di po kailangan masyadong review...ang IELTS naman di niya susubukan grammar o kaalaman sa English. Ang mahalaga mabilis niyo macompose yung iniisip niyo orally or written

ganun po ba? sabi po kasi nung agent na mas ok kung mag review center po ako, just an advice nila. kaya plano ko po paguwi ko sa pinas this september eh mag review center na kami ni misis para mas sure po kung sakali. sana nga po ok sa TRA po yung papers ko, ang asikasuhin ko naman po sunod eh yung ielts. mahirap po ba? sana po makapasa tingin ko po kasi sa writing ako medyo mahihirapan. maraming salamat po and godbless to all of us!

Guys tama ba na after 3mths pa ulit allowed kung gustong mag re-take ng IELTS?... I'll be having my IELTS exam this month... I like to plan ahead din kasi and compute ng waiting time in case ndi ako ma-satisfied sa result ng 1st take... though I'm hoping & praying na sana ok ang 1st result talaga.... nakaka-kaba din waaaa!

Think positive lagi....kaya namang makahigh score kahit first try basta lakasan niyo lang po loob niyo. Kung second language niyo na ang English wala kayo dapat ibahala

WRITING
Task 1:
You will study abroad. Write a letter to a friend asking for help to get a part-time job while studying.

3. how can your friend help you

Start with " Dear _______________, "

Task 2:
Advantages and disadvantages ng maraming toys. (di humingi ng opinyon, Adv and Disadvgs lng)

SPEAKING
sa speaking, I realized I had some grammar lapses, nawa ok pa din result.

I didn't expect na yung mga nakikita ko sa reviewer especially yung sa speaking ay lalabas mismo. kaya naeexcite ako sumagot, but ofcourse, because of that, there will be chances na di mo alam uunahin mong imention sa dami ng tumatakbo sa isip mo, that will have an effect sa coherence at structure ng sentence. pero nawa ay acceptable ang mga usage at pag demonstrate ko.

Lumabas ang mga tanong na:
1. What is your favorite part in your house? Why?
2. What do you like about your house?
3. Do you watch TV? What TV show do you watch?
4. Do you think it's better to watch alone?
5. What do you think about home-cooked foods?
6. In the future, do you think people will enjoy their work because of technology?
7. Tapos leaning to Climate Change na ang question. na ang cause ay technological advances..

at madami pa na di ko na kayang isaisahin. haha!

Sa Cue Card ko:
What job will make the world a better place?
When did you know about this job?
Why (nakalimutan ko na karugtong) ?

Listening, Reading, Writing - Practice lang, di kayo mahihirapan. sa writing I suggest gumawa kayo ng model na ifofollow niyo sa bawat type ng tanong. example kung ang tanong ay :

1. Advantages at disadvantages about certain subject(Intro, To start with, On the other hand, To summarize)
2. To What extent do you agree or disagree, give your opinion (Intro, To start with, moreover/furthermore, On the other hand, To summarize)

Speaking, mahalaga din ang practice.

Gaya ng sabi ni @LokiJr, kung second language natin ang english, yakang yaka natin.

What I can suggest, know your weak points, kung kailngan mong reviehin ang subject-verb agreement, go ahead, you will surely need it during writing and speaking.

May hangover pa ako nung exam, kaya naikwento ko lahat.

@aeromekaniko, kung busy ka, 1 month would be enough, kasi mahirap din patagalin, sayang panahon. say 1st week ay knowing the structure of the exam. then during weekends, mag allocate kayo ng time to do a full exam (L, R, W, S). then a day before the exam, mag Sick Leave ka. haha! pahinga manlang bago ang exam.

Sa British ka pala nagtake ng exam @onesilvertwo...I'm curious kung sino sa IDP or BC ang mas mabait magscore sa Speaking Exam hehe...IDP kasi ako

@mimaahk Alam ko pwedeng mag-exam ulit kagad. Kaya lang advisable yung 3 months para bigyan ka ng time mag-review ulit.

@mimaahk all practice exams will be of big help. I can't say na madali, if you don't know the type of questions at techniques, it may turn out na mahirap. So it is important to know the structure of the exam (matching features, identification, identifying info, yung may mag iidentify ng heading)... Lahat yan nasa review materials.. don't worry if you're getting low scores during your review, atleast you will learn something from that, so during the exam that mistake will remind you about a technique or judgement that you need to do since you've encountered that type of question.

I remember my challenge on my reading during my self-study was identifying information (true, false, not given).. Tinutukan ko iyon at pinakaunawa ko and nakatulong during the actual exam. Lalo na yang mga term na involving numbers/quantity (some,most, any, all) o kaya yung word na automatically vs mga statements na may certain conditions.. Traps yan. Hehe. Ingat kayo sa ganyan.
