    Hi everyone!

Salamat!

Worth a try. I don’t see why it won’t work since your qualification will now equate to an AQF bachelors degree as per CEP. We’ve done the same for clients. Good luck

    >

Just to clarify things, ACS or any other assessing authorities do not assess qualification level, that’s beyond their jurisdiction as this has to do with the department of education and training. All assessing authorities will only make reference to the CEP document. So do not get confused on skills assessment’s main purpose - it’s to assess your skills and not your qualification level.

In reference to my response previously to @jrmdcdc, it’s worth a try for reassessment since the assessment outcome is already expired. I don’t see any reason why ACS won’t recognise a bachelor qualification from a section 1 institution because they have to follow what CEP says. If they don’t then it’s worth questioning it. They do not have a say on this part of the assessment.

Associate degree is lower than a bachelors degree. That’s only 10 points

It used to be that qualifications from sec 2 universities can be recognised as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree if the average GPA is at least 2.0 but CEP was recently updated in June so if university is section 2, it will never be equivalent to an AQF bachelors degree no matter how high the average GPA is unless the applicant has PRC licence. Policies and processes change unfortunately so one cannot compare results with other cases. No two cases are ever alike.

hello po @RheaMARN1171933 yung partner ko po Mapua Makati (section 2) pero bachelor's degree po ang nakuha niya. though mapua intramuros po is in section 1.

I definitely would double check that with the skills assessment authority rather contesting it. It needs to be clarified since at the end of the day, as also indicated on the outcome letter, the decision is an opinion only and DHA still has a final say on it.

Associate degree is lower than a bachelors degree. That’s only 10 points

    salamat!

Any reason why this matters at the moment? Your associate degree is already 15 points for education same as Bachelor's. The next level points is for PhD na.

As mentioned, the CEP was recently updated.

Hello po, just started exploring here and also dreaming to move to AU.

I work in IT with 4 yrs of experience and a graduate from UST BS-IT. Is it worth trying to go immediately for ACS skills assessment or should I wait for now and build my work experience further?

    Thanks!

Hi All, I just received my assessment result from ACS got positive outcome. However, medyo naguguluhan lang po ako dito:

The following employment after 29 July 2016 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled
level and relevant to ANZSCO Code 263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer).

    Dates: 07/12 - 07/20 - 8 year(s) 0 month(s)
Position: Engineer Specialist - Client Service Assurance

Can someone pls enlighten mo pano po ung count ng employment yrs ko based dyan sa sinabi nila?
I understand 4 years din ang binawas nila sa employment ko :(

Hello po. Bale ang 'Skill Level Requirement Met date' mo is July 29, 2016. From July 27, 2016 - up to present (if currently working na same company), ito po ang 'Skilled employment' or yung years na pwede magclaim po ng points. Thanks! :)

    1. Pwede parin po ba ako magclaim ng points kasi suitable naman yung result for his nominated occupation?

    Maraming salamat po! :)

Most likely the decision to deduct 4 years is due to their findings that your studies is not closely related to your nominated occupation

Of course. You won’t need english until you lodge your EOI anyway. Concentrate on your skills assessment for now.

Baka po may makahelp sa tanong ko. Diko kasi sure if the assessment result na suitable is enough to claim partner points for positive skills assessment, kahit wala yung ICT Bachelors Degree assessment (AQF equivalent). May hunch is oo since di naman nagcleclaim ng education points for partner? Pahelp po. Thank you! :)

Best to inquire directly with ACS.

    2. Pwede parin po ba ako magclaim ng points kasi suitable naman yung result for his nominated occupation?

    Maraming salamat po! :)

Sige po. WIll take that route. Sana masagot nila yung tanong ko. Thanks :)
