Yes and no…as per previous post, the policy states that:

When assessing periods of skilled employment for the purpose of awarding points, the following must be taken into account:

the opinion of the relevant skills assessing authority on the period of skilled employment including the date on which they deemed the applicant skilled; and
the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) including any pre-requisite qualifications/work experience relevant to the claimed skilled employment; and
any other relevant information (such as employment records and references).

By law, assessing authorities are not required to assess employment experience but their opinion is considered. It’s just an added service assessing authorities provide.

Skills assessment is not skilled employment assessment. Do not mix this up. That’s why skilled employment assessment is optional for other assessing authorities such as EA, AITSL CPA and others. All it takes for immigration is a positive skills assessment. So, going back to the policy I shared previously, when assessing periods of skilled employment for awarding of points, they will take into account the opinion of the assessing authority including the deemed date and the ANZSCO along with other relevant documents.

The skills assessment outcome confirms that the applicant’s skills are of Australian standard and a deemed date is given. That’s all what the department needs to see. Employment experience claimed from this date whether it was officially assessed by an assessing body or not will be considered by the department if duties are aligned with ANZSCO tasks.

ACS and VETASSESS include the employment assessment in their skills assessment as the work experience is part of their criteria for positive skills assessment. Other assessing bodies do not require this. However, for peace of mind, a lot avail the employment assessment service to validate their claim on employment. I myself encourage my clients to avail this service para it’s in black and white na, no uncertainty, mas confident when claiming experience …but when it comes to ACS outcome (or any outcome by any assessing body) where work experience were already recognised, I wouldn’t bother my clients to have their skills assessed again just so they can claim their new employment . The fact that the previous employment episodes was recognised by ACS, it follows that the succeeding experience (beyond what was assessed) can be claimable as long as tasks are still aligned with ANZSCO.

That’s why there are members in this forum who post under EA skills assessment where they mention they did not avail the RSEA service and still claimed their relevant experience when they lodged their EOI.

Ah, got it. So, nagkataon lang pala na sa ACS at VETASSESS kasama na ang employment assessment sa skills assessment routine nila. Interesting.

Yeah, for EA I'm aware that RSEA is not required.

They have their own criteria whilst most assessing authorities only require the qualification component and not the employment ones. Hence, ACS and Vetassess will have to mention in their outcomes what employment they recognise….

Hmm para sakin, consistency and transparency are key kasi e. Mas ok na declared lahat kahit hindi relevant yung portion na tinamaan before the deemed skilled date kasi sa documentary evidence mo kasama yung period na yun.

Nahanap ko po ung ITR ko but for January 2015 lang. Pwede po bang yung sa Start Date ko na June 2012 ay ung SSS na lang, then add ko na din yung bank statements?

The system is asking for employment details in the last 10 years. I would follow what the system is asking. Just indicate which ones are relevant and which ones are not.

I would follow what’s being asked in the guidelines, if you’ve got it covered then it should be fine.

Do you think naka-depende yung grade sa assessment? PLM Computer Science kasi ako (Section 2). Pero nagpasa ako ng GWA na around 1.77, or diploma pa rin ang katumbas regardless n'un?

Unfortunately, wala yan effect. Yung classification ng school (section) and content of your course ang tinitingnan nila.

Hello guys may question lang ulit sorry naninigurado lang..

My recent assessment is "comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a Major in Computing"

My actual degree is "Bachelor of Science in Computer Science"
So in the EOI, I should choose "Bachelor Degree in Science, Business or Technology" - is this right?

Or does it need to be "Bachelor Degree (Other)"?

I am assuming that option is for Bachelor of Arts/Business/etc but please correct me if I'm wrong

pano po pag ung work history sa SSS ay name ng parent company po nakalagay? bale lahat po ng ibang documents ko ay from the sister company pero ang nagbabayad ng sss ay parent company. need ko po ba maglagay ng explanation letter based dun sa company name? TYIA

Hmm, san mo nakuha yung "section 2" for PLM?

I believe it's less likely na equivalent to Bachelor's degree ang assessment when the uni is classified under section 2. Required ng PRC license pag ganyan para makakuha ng Bachelor's. Pero since BSCS ka, wala naman licensure exam yan e.

Kung totoong Bachelor's degree yung sa classmate mo, then your source where you found that PLM is section 2 might be outdated and its standing might have improved to section 1 already.

Correct. Get that official letter of explanation. Kasi ganon rin naman, posibleng itanong nila sayo yan, or worse, directly reject na lang nila yung career episode na yun. At least, decision-ready yung application mo.

Hello po. Ask ko lang po if mkakakuha ako ng positive skills assessment from ACS if mag-apply ako with bachelors degree in the Philippines and only 1 yr Australian working experience ( both relevant to Software Engineering ). Nagdodoubt po kasi ako na hind sya pwede since required is 2 yrs experience if Non-Australian and bachelors degree or higher?

If i got positive skills assessment, can i also claim 15 points for the degree when lodging my eoi roi. Nakalagay po ba yung equivalent to bachelors yung degree if rpl route. Thank you po

Hello po. Newbie here. I would like to ask po if meron kayo format ng resume to be submitted sa ACS Skill Assessment? Still new to this forum and having hard time searching for exact topic. If you could lead me to the right thread as well where I can read steps for those who do DIY with their journey. But for now po yung resume format sana since almost the requirement na naka lista sa requirement ng ACS meron na ako except for the resume para maka submit na soonest. Thank you in advance!

there are quite a lot you will find online po like the below screenshot

Wala naman specific format ng resume as far as I know. The usual resume/cv will do, just make sure dates and occupations match with the details on the Employment Reference.

I have payslips for each employer pero I dont have the payslip na exactly start and end sa previous employer ko so binigay 4 copies of different period lng tapos may details nmn ako sa sss/pagibig/philhealth as supporting docs to validate my employment period plus ITR dn..yung ITR ko nirequest ko sa current and previous employeer ko yung wala akong copy..

Challenging lng talaga to get those documents..

Hello!!! I just want to ask. My partner is a female in the ICT industry. Given the salary discrepancy of men and women in AU, is it harder for them to land a job? Let's say she was given a positive skill assessment by ACS with 8+ years of xp? Thank you!
