PDOS for 489 Visa

Hi All! Update ko Lang po kayo. Nag-email ako sa CFO para I-confirm if need pa ng PDOS at para yung sagot nila ay maipakita ko sa Immigration pag naghanap sila ng PDOS/CFO sticker. Ito po yung reply nila sa akin:

We wish to inform you that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) only registers Filipinos leaving the country with immigrant/permanent resident visa. Registration of Skilled Regional Sponsored (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) holders going to Australia is not within the purview of the services of the CFO. Therefore, you are not required to register nor attend the Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) at CFO.

Should you have other inquiries, please call us at (632) 552-4700 local 712, 740, 744, 750 or 754.

@prayhopejoy thank you sa very helpful info mo. Nataranta tuloy ako kung need pa nating 489 visa holders na kumuha ng stickers from cfo/pdos. Thanks big time for the update!

Hello po,

It's 2019 at may changes ba?
Uuwi ako ng Australia next week with 489 visa. Kelangan pa bang kumuha ng OEC?
May work ako sa Australia now and nag bakasyon for 10 days. Sabi ng POEA agent dito sa Davao kelangan ko daw ng OEC with certification from POLO. Totoo ba toh??

Hi all, sana may makasagot sa tanong ko, although nabasa ko naman po yong sa previous years sa discussion dito na nde na kelangan ng PDOS for visa 489. Same pa rin po ba ang para sa 2019? kasi manggagaling din kami sa pinas to aus. I'm currently working in SG, need pa rin ba ng OEC yon palabas ng pinas? Salamat po sa makakasagot.

@prayhopejoy hi po sis thank you for your update, ask ko lang din sana kng ano ang pinakita nyo sa immigration? anong dinala nyo na docs? tpos po ano pong dapat gawin upon arrival in Aus. Or may thread ba dito kng ano mga step by step na gawin para magregistration. Yong initial entry ba is yon na yong pag activate ng visa 489 natin? or may gagawin pa pagdating doon? Sorry po maraming tanong malapit na rin kc kaming mag initial entry this Nov. Mejo kinakabahan baka may mamiss kami. Ano po ba ginawa nyo nag airbnb ba kayo sis? salamat.
