@tmasuncion Hello po. Nag apply na po ba kayo for appeal for COC? Yun po muna first step. Once approved yung appeal tsaka pa lang po kayo makaka apply/book ng schedule for finger print. Normally they will approve/reject your appeal within 2 days time.

Also during eappeal - read through this thread and I recommend using yung explanation na ginamit dito sa thread para mas malinaw sa officer at di ka na balikan for additional question or worst ma reject ang eappeal.

@ChidoRodgers yup around 4 days makuha mo na - depende yan syempre kung how soon you scheduled your appointment for fingerprinting. After fingerprint makukuha na din ang police clearance afterwards. Max 30 mins waiting time after arriving at your scheduled appointment

@ChidoRodgers may nabasa lang ako dito na similar situation - at nagpa process sila sa kakilala nila na nandito pa. Di ako gaano sure paano ang process and timeline pag ganon ang case.

Almost the same procedure. Some things to keep in mind:

1) Log-in with your current/expired FIN/IC.

2) When asked to attach your NRIC during your online application, you can use your current ID instead. I used my PH drivers license.

3) In the form, you will need to indicate a Postal Address. If you write a non-Singapore address, it will take you 2-3 weeks (or even more) before you receive your hardcopy. If you write a Singapore address, you will receive the CoC in less than a week. What I did is use my SG-based friend's address, let SPF mail the CoC to them, so my friend can just scan the CoC and send to me via email. What some people did is let a proxy collect the CoC on their behalf, and with an authorization letter.

4) After getting through the appeal+coc application stage, they will ask you to send by post your fingerprints taken by an authorized person. Kung nasa Manila/Pinas ka, you can head to PNP Crime Laboratory, Fingerprint Division @ Camp Crame QC. Bring 2 pcs passport-sized pics, fingerprint card, and passport. For the fingerprint card, I used this. If you're a female, I'm sorry I don't know where to get a Singapore female fingerprint card. Print this back-to-back on one thick sheet of paper (kung mas makapal sa index card, mas ok). Once completed, you can now send your fingeprints (with PNP embossed seal) to SPF, and wait for their reply/approval.

@imau no rush naman on their end kung kailan mo nais magpa finger print yung sa email for finger printing 2 days max lang mareceive mo na. kami kinabukasan meron na agad hehe.

yes within the scheduled appointment - after fingerprinting - iissue na din nila ang COC. Ensure to double check the details para they can amend right away if may discrepancy.

Bring ka ng ID with photo, para iiwan mo sa security upon entering

hi @imau bring your passport and IC. You need your IC to deposit sa counter sa baba, yung passport for verification during finger printing. They won't need the Hap ID po.

question guys, how do I get a COC from Singapore if I am already in Australia? I already have an old CoC (way back 2013) I also have an expired FIN/Singpass. I might need a new CoC for a Return Resident Visa/Citizenship application that I am applying soon. Thanks po sa sasagot.

@engr_boy kung di naman po kayo nagstay sa sg ng more than 90 days after initial entry as pr, di na po yata kelangan.. yun sabi ng mga nagapply sa citizenship application thread..

@se29m oo, tama ka. pero sa return resident visa (which i also plan to apply) dahil maglapse na travel outside au eligibility ko (plan ko magtravel beyond my eligibility date) and citizenship takes 200 years to get an exam date and conferral lols.

ayon sa 155 visa character requirements:

Police certificates
We may ask you to provide a police certificate (also called a penal clearance certificate) from every country you have lived in.

This applies if you are over 16 and have lived in any of the listed countries, including Australia, for at least 12 months in the past 10 years. It may apply if you have worked on a ship.

Police certificates are valid for 12 months from the issue date. They must cover:

the time you turned 16 up to the issue date

or

the whole time you were in the country

@engr_boy ahh akala ko sa citizenship lang hehe.. sorry po.. pero sa sg coc yata po, may eappeal ako nabasa sa website then, login or sign up ng ex fin po para sa singpass then fingerprinting di ko lang sure if sa sg embassy or sa afp..
