    I just want to share my experience with PTE, I failed IELTS 3x already because of Writing so I decided to try PTE. I failed the first time I tried because I was too nervous and this time it was the Speaking part. Then I took the exam again and this time I got the score I need.

    Overall, PTE exam format is really tough compared to IELTS but I found the scoring pretty lenient. They have mock test online that you can try so you can gauge how the exam is conducted. However, you have to pay for it (around 1k pesos ata) and then they will score you so this will give you an idea somehow.

    Note that the exam is time pressured so 101% focus is a must.

    It's really worth a try. :)

    @MsVi thank you so much for that very inspiring message! I just bought their gold package preparation set and I plan to give this exam a shot by end of April or on 1st week of May at the latest depending on the result of my two simulated exam.

    May I ask po where did you take the exam? Were there lots of examinees at the same time you were taking the exam?

    @MsVi..hello po.. bakit po mas tough compared to IELTS? Pano po ang reading exam nila? May TFNG po din ba?

    @filipinacpa thanks! sa may Ortigas branch ako nagtake sa Tektite building.. @cinnamon20 wala gaano nageexam pa, yung 2 exam ko ako lang magisa sa exam center which is mas okay para di ka distracted sa ibang nagtatake..

    For me kasi mas mahirap ang exam format nya..for example ang speaking nila..you have to describe a graph in 40seconds..may mga 25secs ka to study the graph..then may part din na repeat sentence..uulitin mo yung sinabi ng recording, retell lecture - you'll hear a lecture then after 10secs you have to retell yung sinabi ng speaker..then yung short question - eto madali lang..in short time pressured and you have to think quickly..pero ang technique dito is just speak fluently and dpat tama ang grammar and as much as possible speak for atleast 35secs sa describe graph and retell lecture..based on my experience mukhang di masyado strict sa content ng sasabihin mo..

    Writing ang susunod..madali lang ito usually 2 items isusummarize mo ang isang article into one sentence..then the other one is essay 200-300 words ata in 20mins..tip here is correct grammar, spelling at syempre meet the number of word requirements.

    Reading, walang TFNG..medyo madali ito..mahirap lang na part yung arranging paragraphs..don't spend too much on the question kasi may allotted time dito..based sa experience ko, sobrang sakto ko lang natapos itong reading part..

    Listening, madali lang din ito..focus ang kailangan dito..

    I suggest practice using the Macmillan guide, nashare na ito ni @filipinacpa and take the online practice exam from PTE website...and most of all..pray! :)

    Korek sis. That's why magiging basehan ko yung result ko for my 2 online simulated exams. If favorable ang result then 3 days after my 2nd simulated exam, book ko na si actual exam.. Excited ako na parang takot.. Nagkaphobia dahil kay ielts.. Haha..

    tanong ko lang po kng pwede din sa IT background ang PTE? Kasi ang alam ko sa mga accounting background academic ang required na kukunin nila pag nag IELTS and since PTE academic ang tawag sa exam... iniisip ko na pang academic lang sya and IT background ay GT. Thanks :)

    PTE Academic (not PTE General) is already an alternative exam sa IELTS Acad or IELTS GT. Pero double check niyo rin po sa assessing authority niyo if okay ang PTE Acad. If in case they don't require naman, they you may consider taking PTE Acad for Australia immigration purposes.

    @GoldSeeker yes iba pa po ang OET @glitch88 yes you're right, last year Nov lang inaccept ng AU ang PTE for immigrant visas..@cnel_26 one day lang ang exam, nagretake kasi ako..

    Please note that for AU immigration visa, you have to take PTE Academic and NOT General.. Good luck to all..

    Hi everyone, I just took the paid online practice test in PTE (SET A) and this is the score I got:

    L-77, R-65, S-80, W-74

    Looking through my scores with PTE Practice Exam, I am inclined to book my actual exam in a week. Will that be okay? I still have SET B of online paid practice exam that I haven't used so I plan to take it as well. So if I will book my actual exam on Saturday (May 9) then take the set b practice exam on thursday (may 7), will this be alright?

    My enabling skills based on SET A paid online exam are:
