Health Waiver

antonio_sydantonio_syd St LeonardsPosts: 6Member
Hi,

Ngayon ko lang nakita tong forum na to. I need advice regarding my 457 visa application. May current 457 visa application na ako and may update na. I have a medical condition and the immi has sent me a health waiver to be signed by my employer. However, my employer is quite hesitant because of the estimated cost included. Is there any other way to counter it or a different document like a stat dec by my relatives?

I would really appreciate any advice. I don't know what to do..

Thank you is advance!

Antonio

    Hi @antonio_syd, i have never come accross about a health waiver but whatever the cost involved, maybe you can speak with your employer and signed a contract with them (just between you and them) that you will pay for it.

    @antonio_syd in addition to what @blahblah said, kumuha ka ng private insurance mo like bupa or medibank. and yes sabihin mo lang sa employer mo na ikaw ang sasagot lahat ng medical bills mo. good luck!

    @blahblah thank you very much. I have already talked to them and they want me to undergo a medical assessment. But yes, I think I have to do that. I'm also thinking of changing my employer because, modesty aside, I still have 2 standing job offers but i'm afraid to take any of them at this point. I might just lose all of them..

    @VicThor

    I have private health cover as it is one of 457 visa requirements. Even though I told them that they're still hesitant. But I'm learning from all of these. Thank you!

    This is an uncommon case. Have you tried asking the professionals (agent/lawyer)?

    @batman yes I did. My employer hired a third party migration lawyer. At this point I'm confused. If I change to another employer I might have the same problem..

    @antonio_syd your employer seems cooperative and helpful, why do you have to change employer?

    Hi, Batman.

    My employer backed out. I thought they will be able to sign once I'm done with the medical assessment they were asking me to do. However, they called me 4 days after without the medical assesment that they are cancelling my contract. Never heard from the migration agent after that.

    It's very unfortunate, but I'm hoping to find the right employer.
