HVAC DESIGN CODES/STANDARDS USED IN AUSTRALIA

RyanCFCRyanCFC FahaheelPosts: 13Member
Hi Fellow Kababayans and Fellow Pinoy Mechanical Engineers. I just recently got a Visa Grant (SI-189) with my wife. We are currently situated in the Middle East and is planning to move to Australia in few months time. I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession with experiences in Industrial HVAC Design & Implementation, and Condition Monitoring and Vibration Analysis in Oil and Gas-Upstream. As part of my preparation, I just want to take a run-through of my design skills in HVAC field of which I suppose to have more opportunities in Australia (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

I just want to know the codes and standards used in Australia in HVAC Design? Could anybody give inputs, links, documents which are used in the HVAC Designing industry as of present times?

Thank you very much. Hoping to hear from you my fellow Kababayans.

@RyanCFC as far as I know, if you are hired in australia as project engineer, magagamit mo ang mga australian codes. But if sa asset engineer ka mapwesto, you won't need it. By the way, I am also an aspiring visa 189 candidate also, mechanical engineer like you. I'm working as a facilities plant engineer here in the Philippines. Keep me posted man!

@RyanCFC could you share something to begin with on AU building or construction code? Appreciate if you could spare time to share as available. I'm about to pay our visa fees this week hopefully. Close in getting the golden visa grant in a few months. God is great!

    Hello mga Sir/Ma'am,
I'm currently a Mall Engineer( manages operations ang maintenance of the facilities/equipment of the building) here in Pinas. Im a licensed Mechanical Engineer. Hingi lang po ako advice. Though 1 year palang ang experience ko, i dream of working in OZ. Do you think it is wise to pursue facilities engineering if i want to work in australia? Im also taking my girlfriend ( soon to be my wife) who is a CPA with me. Should I shift to a different industry like oil and gas or construction? Please help po. This is my dilemma right now. Is facilities engineering best suited to make a good career sa australia or even penetrating it?
