    @lctan1 ang nabasa ko lately sobrang dami na raw na immigrants sa Singapore at dahil maliit lang ang land area diyan, unti unti na rin daw nadedeteriorate yung quality of life. Yan yung concern ko sa SG ngayon kasi ganyan na ganyan din ang nangyari sa HK (nung uso pa ang domestic workers dun)....Sa Australia, kontrolado pa ang population at malaki yung lupain hehe

    Hi,

    Napansin ko maraming mga Pinoy na taga SG na nag-co-consider to move to Australia dito sa forum, galing din kami Singapore. More than 5 years kami nag-work dun and kakadating lang namin dito early this year. May work na naghihintay nung nag-decide kami pumunta ng wife ko dito kaya madali yung decision to come. Pero nanibago ako, coming from Singapore na malinis at maayos lahat. Dami graffiti at madudumi ang mga train dito sa Melbourne, at di tulad ng Singapore kung saan makakain ka ng mura sa mga hawker centers, mahal kumain sa labas dito, kahit sa foodcourt ng mga malls around 7-10 dollars ang meals.

    On the positive side, mataas and sweldo dito lalo ng pag nasa IT industry ka, at hindi stresssful dahil important ang family life sa mga Aussies. May mga fields na medo mahirap makahanap ng work dito, most especially manufacturing, dahil sa taas ng AUD.
    Thanks for sharing lctan1, yan din dilema namin, nung nag punta kame sa US, madumi rin ang mga MRT nila. at marumi ang mga streets, tapos ang daming baliw sa kalsada. na compare namin ang SG at US, mas hi tech talaga pa rin dito sa sg. although by heart gusto talaga namin mag settle dyan sa OZ. kinoconsider namin lahat ng bagay, mas mainamrin na bisita muna kame at i feel ang place... ang isang malaking talo lang talaga dito sa sg ung rent ng bahay. d tulad sa oz makakakuha ka na sarili mo.

    btw lctan1, ikaw ung ccfers rin right?

    Reply to @aolee: I've never been to SG so ang comparison ko lang talaga ay pinas. Graffiti lang talaga prob.. pero when it comes sa kalinisan ng streets, kalsada, garbage disposal, traffic at pollution.. sad to say pero mas okay na talaga dito sa Melbourne compare sa metro manila.

    Mga kabayan, i really enjoyed reading yung palitan ng impormasyon at yung mga story nyo. Bago po ako dito sa site, nag-iisip kung pwede kaya kaming makalipat sa Australia. Nasa Doha po ako ngayon with my family, almost 5 years, Chemical Engineer sa field ng Water and Waste Water. Madali kaya akong makakahanap ng trabaho dyan? Madali ba ang paglipat at adjustment? Salamat po sa advise in advance. Sensya na po, kasi hindi ko pa masyado nahahalukay ang ibang part ng site, baka may thread tungkol sa kurso ko or sa mga tanong ko. paki refer na lang po. Salamat po uli. :) :) --- Lipat ako dun sa Engineers corner. Tnx :)

    about your questions...you can learn more from reading sa DIAC website on how to go about the application. take note lang po na magiiba na ang policies starting July 1, 2012 kaya cguro next week na lang kayo magbasa sa DIAC website. hehehe. check nyo po yung updated Skilled Occupation List dito. nasa list pa naman po yung Chemical Engineer. sa adjustment naman po, di ko pa po alam kasi nagaantay pa rin po ako ng visa grant. pero madami po dito makakapag-share ng experiences nila. :)

    @kujok kung may extra money po kayo, magpa skills assessment at IELTS kayo. Yung dalawa na yan ang magsasabi kung makakakuha kayo ng visa nang madalian. Regarding sa trabaho naman, in demand lagi ang engineer sa Australia so konting tiyaga lang :D

    if we were to imagine, ok rin pala yung mga taong nag SG muna bago mag OZ, kasi may pang start sila sa bagong buhay sa OZ. nagiisip kasi ako kung anu mas ok, yung bang mag SG muna bago mag OZ or OZ muna then get a Citizen, then tsaka mag SG.
