A happy Christmas greeting to everyone!

I have been offered a job in Kin Kora, Gladstone, QLD commencing by late January or February 2017. I will be moving there with my de facto partner hopefully. May I know if there are people in this forum live in the area? If there are, please let me know. We need help in our move and accommodation since we don't really know anyone living there.

I hope some of you can help us as we start the next chapter of our lives there.

Hello po. Yes, I am already here in Gladstone. Depende sa lifestyle mo kung okay o hindi eh. Tahimik po dito, maliit lang na place. Shops are decent but not so much choices available. Mura talaga mga bahay kasi maraming umalis after matapos yung construction projects dito. Makakakuha ka ng house for AUD95 and above per week, pwede pang makipagtawaran sa agent. As for work, medyo mahirap maghanap ng work so make sure po na may work kayong nakuha dito before you consider moving. Convenient naman lahat if you have a car. Public transport is very hard kasi buses are only available during weekdays. Weekends, taxi lang ang meron. Hehe. Yun lang naman po sentiments ng both Pinoys and locals dito. Pero the pay is nice po, comparatively higher than the offers I got in Melbourne, makakaipon talaga kayo dito. The climate, parang Pilipinas.
