Hi po. Need your help. I am an Accountant and submitted EOI las July 6. Then last July 18, nakareceive ako ng e-mail from Queensland as follows:

"Your nomination is currently under assessment. In order to progress this application, further information is required. Please provide the following details:

    * Your contact details (e.g email address, residential/post address)
    * Evidence of occupation registration as per the requirement for your occupation as detailed on the Queensland Eligible Skills List
    * Evidence of sufficient funds for settlement
    * Evidence of your commitment to work and live in Qld

Regarding proof of fund, any idea what type of evidence is required, kelangan lang ba talaga is bank statement or pede rin other docs like land title. Mga magkano pala po required funds for family of 4(with my 2 kids).
And ano po ba yung evidence of commitment to work land live in Qld, need ba gumawa ng letter and ano dapat details ilagay.

They gave me two weeks to submit the information, pero pede raw magrequest ng extension if di kaya...Sana po may makapag share ng experience nila...tnx

Reply to @mark_y: depende po kasi yun per state. sa WA po kasi yung primary applicant dapat may 25K AUD na funds. tpos 5K AUD per dependent. kung sa QLD siguro mas mataaas yung COL dun pwede mo na siguro ilagay na 35-40K for the primary applicant then 5K na lng din sa each dependent. pwede na siguro yun.

@mark here in SA it's $40k for main applicant and 3 dependents but I knew some people who did not submit any bank papers and still had a positive state sponsorship application.

@LokiJr: Oo nga eh, nag reply na rin sila sa e-mail ko, the easiest way daw to check yung funds is through submission of bank statements and they don't accept other proof of assets other than that...meaning cash in bank lang talaga pede na evidence..Iresearch ko raw cost of living and the amount that I will arrived at should be supported by bank statements....hay, pano kaya yun ala pa naman akong ganung kalaking pera... :-/ :-/ :-/

Hello everyone :) Newbie here and I am so glad that I found this forum. Will be starting our skills assessment anytime soon.

May question lang po ako regarding EOI. Me and my husband are both applying for skills assessment. Pareho kaming IT professionals pero magkaibang specialization. When applying for EOI, dapat ba isa lang sa amin ang mag-apply or pwedeng pareho kami? How do we go about it? I think mas mataas ang points nya due to number of years of experience, pero right now mukhang mas in demand ang skill ko.

Thanks a lot in advance. Really appreciate your help :) Good luck sa ating lahat!

Reply to @elle: na-check nyo na po ba yung mga nominated occupations nyo sa SOL? cguro po compute nyo muna ang makukuha nyong points for both scenarios then check kung san makakakuha ng mas malaking points. kung same lang ang points for either of you being the primary applicant, then maybe you can also take into consideration yung occupation ceiling for your occupations. :)

    Reply to @hotshot:

Pareho kaming analyst/programmer. Mas malaki ang points nya i think. Yun ang napakalaking dilemma namin now. Am i right on this?

    Thanks!

kung pareho po kayong magpa-skill assessment, one will be the primary applicant and the other will be secondary.. sympre may additional points kayo for secondary skill assessment..

i dont think ung specialization (SAP) will matter sa assessment.. at it doesnt matter kung alin ang mas in demand... although it will reflect sa occupation ceiling.. tama si @hotshot..

My sentiments exactly :) Siguro i-complete na muna namin ang assessment and IELTS.

Thanks a lot. Pero magandang point of discussion din yan for applicants with the same situation as ours.

Reply to @hotshot: ahh.. i got your point..

Secondary applicants info (IELTS, Skills assessed, etc)

now, i dont know if employers are just searching for the occupation of the primary applicants in EOI..

pde kayo mag-apply pareho kaya lang mas magastos. hehehe May kilala ako na nag-apply sila sabay (pero pre-EOI) tapos sabay din sila nabigyan ng visa hehe pero to save time and to focus your energies siguro to one application, piliin nyo na lang muna yung mataas ang points. Anyway pagdating naman don, pareho kayo eligible to apply for work since one of you naman is a dependent of the primary applicant. :) take note nga lang din the occupation ceiling. You would need to sit down on this and discuss aling application ang may mas mataas na points and mallodge agad sa EOI. :) This is just my personal opinion. :)

for those who submitted EOI, I believe we have all received this announcement from DIAC about skillselect.

    only 90 invitation for visa 189? :(
    31 Jul 2012

    SkillSelect Invitation Announcement

On August 1st, the first invitation round for Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) and the family sponsored Skilled Nominated or Sponsored (Provisional) (subclass 489) visas will be held.

As SkillSelect is a new and complex system, our first run of invitations will be reduced in size, to allow us to ensure that all elements of the system are working smoothly.

As such, we will issue the following number of invitations:
    • 90 in the Skilled Independent subclass 189; and
    • 10 in the Skilled Nominated or Sponsored (Provisional) (family sponsored) subclass 489.

The invitations will go to the highest scoring Expression of Interests (EOIs) in these subclasses, with ties in points decided by the date that the EOI reached their current points score.

Clients that have been invited will receive a notification to their email address, as well as their SkillSelect inbox.

However, while this first round of invitations will be comparatively small, we expect to be increasing the numbers of invitations issued, with a significantly larger round in September, and potentially a second round in August.

Following the invitation round, we will publish the invitation results on the reports tab of the SkillSelect website:

    www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/

To date the enthusiastic uptake of SkillSelect by people all around the world interested in Skilled Migration to Australia has been pleasing.

Need more information on the SkillSelect process
For more information on how SkillSelect operates, please refer to our website which details the process:
    http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect

    Contacting the department
If you need to contact the department, you should view our contact methods located on the department’s website at: http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/telephone.htm

    Thank you.
