Pathway: Visa Subclass 572- 573 (Masters in Coursework)- 485 Graduate Skilled
@danyan2001us Hi Kuya Dan, I hope you can give some insights on our situation. We plan to file for students visa. I'm taking Masters. First move sana namin ay magfile ng Subclass 189 yung husband ko and then dependent nya ko. Pero unable kami to gather requirements for him kasi nasa US sya ngayon at medyo di makakauwi agad at unable din ako to work due to my visa limitations.
Then next year, mag-apply sya ng PR. If granted a visa, saka ako magchange as his dependent.
Maraming salamat.

@nori ..... hi nori ang sinishare ko palagi sa mga kababayan natin just like you na kung kaya lang na huwag na dumaan ng student visa then do such pathway but if mahirap talaga gawin just like in your case then, go for it. masyado kasi mahal ang magstudy dito although mababawi naman later on. so on what you shared as your plan, i would agree to such arrangement. another important consideration in such a plan would be that the two of you should be together. ang hirap at napakalaking sakripisyo if one would stay behind. good luck and God bless

@danyan2001us salamat sa response. At least, medyo kampante na kami ganito strategy. Save sa oras at more chances na makapag work and study sa oz.
Mahirap nga Kuya Dan. Pero sana if matuloy ako sa July, by January of next year makasunod na sya. Salamat sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan. God bless po.

@danyan2001us kuya dan, tanong lang pero medyo personal. Bakit di po kayo nag-apply ng PR while naka student visa wife nyo? Qualified ka naman yata.
Medyo worried kami na magkaproblem kasi pag nagstudent visa ko tapos mag apply yung husband ko ng PR via 189 after a year siguro.

Hi good day mga kababayan. By the way, here is my background:
Feb 2014 - Got my first student visa (subclass 573) Feb 2014 to Dec 2014 - Completed Master of Laws at Uni (CRICOS 52 Weeks) Feb 2015 to Dec 2015 - Completed Graduate Diploma in Aus Law (CRICOS 52 Weeks) Feb 2016 to Sep 2016 - Completed Graduate Cert in Prof Legal Practice CRICOS 35 Weeks)
My questions:
1. Would I be qualified for Post-Study Work Stream as I have a Masters degree? I am just worried because my Masters degree was only 1 year (52 weeks) and was completed on Dec 2014 (contrary to the Australian study requirement of 92 weeks completed in the last 6 months). Where will they reckon the computation of 6 months, is it from the date of completion of my masters degree (Dec 2014) or date of completion of my graduate certificate (Sep 2016)?
2. If I fail to qualify on the Post-Study Work Stream because of the 92 weeks/6 mos study requirement, would I still be qualified to the other stream (Graduate Work Stream) even if my first visa was granted after 5 Nov 2011? My assumption was I may still be qualified here as the list of the application requirements in Form 1409 never stated that this stream is only limited to persons whose first student visa was granted before 5 Nov 2011.
I have consulted several migration agents but their answers are conflicting to each other. Thank you in advance.

hi to All!
mag inquire po sana ako regarding schools, had an offer from uni and institute, obviously mas mura si institute which is very convincing and ready to take that path. i asked my cousin na nasa Melb na naging successful for studying and now PR na cya but he went uni. he told me baka daw masayang if institute lang then mag ulit ako pag nasa AU na ako. so may i humbly ask for a very serious advice regarding this matter po? below is my inquiry..
me: BS IT, working for more than 10yrs - IT Sr. Manager age: 39 looking at: Kent Institute - Bachelors of Science in Business - Specialization in Management or Information Systems. (mas mura and pasok sa budget)
what if University? Master in Information Technology?
question: would you think okay si Kent afterwards to get PR? pointing system ang worry ko baka mababa? then as well a decent job?
please advise po,
Thanks!

hello po mr @danyan2001us .. tanong ko lang po... au na po ako sa sydney taking up certificate business course na wala sa sol, pwede pa kaya ako kumuha ng age care or early childhood na certificate at the same time? or klangan ko tapusin muna ang course of entry ko.. at mg apply ng another visa.. tnx po

@dreamer_mom ...... it might be a burden to you taking two courses at the same time. but if budget and time will allow you then i would suggest opt for aged care. reason for this is for immediate job hiring since this field offers lots of opportunities

@danyan2001us hi po, another question, if wife ko mag study then ako mag work as full-time. then let's say, nagkaroon ako ng employer and they like my performance, is it possible to ask them to sponsor me? pwede ba ako kumalas sa sv program ni wife then ibang visa na ako like working visa, then later on i'll apply as PR? possible? any thoughts how long and would it be applicable? advice po.
thank you!

I'm planning to go to Sydney thru students visa. I just need to pass the IELTS.
Ako naman Accounts Assistant for 6 yrs. Can he work unlimitied hours?
I badly need your inputs on the above guys. Thank you so much!
@ambry Hi! I just wanted to share my experience kasi almost similar tayo ng questions before.
1) I was granted my research scholarship a few months before the semester was supposed to start so I had to request for it to be moved and they approved it. I believe you just have to ask.
2) According to DIBP: "If you are doing a postgraduate course, such as a Masters degree, your family members can work unlimited hours once you start your study." - so yes, if your initial budget allows you to bring your partner, then sabay na kayo. That's what I did and by God's grace, nakahanap ng work ang partner ko a couple of months after arriving. It was a big help in terms of the finances.
3) Self-study lang din ako for my IELTS and, if my memory serves me right, my writing task involved a process cycle of some sort but don't fret, all the information you need will be in that paragraph describing such diagram. It's just a matter of practicing talaga and check if you were able to address the task.
God bless and good luck! Cheers!

i am currently taking my Masters degree here in PH. may chance ba na yung mga subj na nakuha ko e credited sa Au? yung parang nag transfer ka sa school ganon? sorry wala talaga ako idea if possible sya or mag start ule ako from scratch. Malapit na kasi ako matapos sa MS ko pero mas nangingibabaw yung pag migrate sa Au if ever. so naisip ko, what if mag student visa nalang ako sa Au.
04/25/17: Started reading about AU Skilled migration requirements
04/27/17: Started collating all required documents
06/16/17: Got a job offer in Singapore and started working (ipon mode)

Hello sir/ma'am, i would to ask some piece of advice regarding the pathway that i want/planning to take, my agent assess my papers and she told me that i should take a student visa and proceed to Masteral courses specifically MBA( master in business administration ) and MPH ( master in public health). i will study for 2 years with a benefit of working 20 hours fortnight and working for unlimited hours during semestral breaks. I would be the main applicant and my wife and my son are my dependent. Me and my wife are nurses by profession and we are currently working here in Singapore. sir/ma'am do you think it is ok for me to take this kind of pathway? Initially, i will be the first one to come their in Australia and my wife will just follow me once i have settled down. Thank you sir and ma'am hoping for a feedback to you.. Godbless everyone and have a good day.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post. Plan ko kasi either mag apply for Skilled worker visa or continue my grad school in Au.
i am currently taking my Masters degree here in PH. may chance ba na yung mga subj na nakuha ko e credited sa Au? yung parang nag transfer ka sa school ganon? sorry wala talaga ako idea if possible sya or mag start ule ako from scratch. Malapit na kasi ako matapos sa MS ko pero mas nangingibabaw yung pag migrate sa Au if ever. so naisip ko, what if mag student visa nalang ako sa Au.
btw, MSECE pala kinukuha ko, BSECE undergrad ko
Thanks
