    I have a part-time at home. After my work, didiretso na ko sa bahay para gawin yung homebase job ko. I tried to apply outside like cafe, resto, hotels, and it didn't went well so I prefer to have a job at home.

    @Saveontransfers hi Sir! Thanks sa input. may I ask anong homebase jobs ito? mga typing ba at online part-time ganyan? tsaka okay lang ba tanungin pa kung bakit hindi nyo prefer yung work sa labas? dahil ba sanay kayo sa office jobs? I'm asking for my friends kasi sana, e office jobs din sila so worried ako na baka mahirapan sila 'rumaket-raket' kung magsstudent visa sila.. and most importantly, nacocover po ba ng mga part-time yung expenses nyo? yun kasi worry din nila e, since self-supporting nga sila at walang pamilyang tutulong financially..

    @mafimushkila123 Tell your friends na wag maging mapili sa jobs when they come here kasi napakalaking disadvantage na 40hrs fortnightly lang ang allowed sa SV. I can personally vouch na di basta basta makahanap trabaho dito. I tried working as a kitchen hand na before I got my office job. Can't give too much tips on job hunting cause I got very lucky. 10 days lang upon arrival hired na ako.

    @mafimushkila123 Try hotels, restaurants and retail jobs. They can do walk in and hand in their CV. Ang gawi rito sa Au, is they talk to the manager and ask if there’s a vacancy. Otherwise, they can do online application too. Unfortunately, if they’re on SVs, they’re really not in the position to be picky. I agree with the above post. There are companies who don’t accept SV applicants due to limited hours and limited stay in Au. If they know someone here, they can refer them to their jobs. With the expenses, do they have to pay for their tuition? It depends on how much they will still have to pay.

    @Cassey sila din po magbabayad ng tuition nila. Magkano kaya kada bwan ang iaallot nila para sa tuition on average?

    @mafimushkila123 Depende kung magkano pa ang balance nila sa tuition fee and kung ano yung payment arrangement nila with school - every sem or every year. Hindi lang tuition fee ang kailangang paglaanan ng pera. Kailangan din for house which is weekly ang pay, food, fare, misc.

    @Cassey oo nga po e.. kaya ang question, kung kakayanin ba nilang tustusan lahat ng expenses nila.. kayo po ba? naka-SV po ba kayo? enough naman po mga part-time nyo to cover all your expenses? Sorry to ask this po.. :D

    @mafimushkila123 Australian Citizen na kami tomorrow. :D We started out on Student Visa 6yrs ago, but we didn’t solely rely on our salary here. Two thirds ng tuition fee ay bayad na, so yung one third na lang ang kinailangan naming kitain. There are 2 of us working so it was enough to cover the expenses. It was hard work but totally worth it.

    Mahirap sabihin kung kakayanin ng kaibigan mo since wala ka namang figures na binibigay. If you know how much they will owe the school. It would be easier. :D

    @Cassey Wow! That's so nice to hear! Congratulations! May I know ano pong course tinake nyo while on SV?

    Regarding my friends naman po, yung kausap naming agent nagbigay ng estimate na around $3,000 per quarterly term daw.. so $1,000 per month. yung materials for the entire course kasama na sa ibabayad nila sa agency ($11,000 rough estimate, incl agency fee). bale yung 2nd term onwards plus living expenses na lang (at syempre konting savings at padala) ang kelangan nilang icover through part-time.. I'm thinking at least mga $4,000 per month kikitain nila. tama po ba? kaya ba yun?

    @mafimushkila123 my husband and i were students 6yrs ago and we both were working to cover school fees and misc. We were in Sydney and rentals were expensive. I remember my first job was in a food court way belowww minimum.

    and we took whatever jobs we can get ( plus preggy pa ). 20hrs per week yes ( on the books ) but we had to work more than that sa mga cafes and during summer super overtime para makapagipon.

    I suggest go out explore local cafes and suburbs. hand out your resumes magbaon ng enough courage and confidence. Desire your goals with an intensity akin to fervour obsession and claim it na you can do it.. good luck and all the best. :)

    last year lang na citizen kami.. :)

    @mafimushkila123

    Thank you kindly. BSN yung course.

    Tell your friends to get a clear amount of what they need to pay. Minimum salary here in Au per hour is $18.93 so that leaves them with $386 per week. They can work fulltime only during school holidays which is 2-3weeks every term. There’s also tax that you need to pay (depends on the salary)

    Remind them as well na hindi lahat ng nagdaraan ng SV ay may pathway to PR, if that is their end goal. Depende sa occupation or magiging occupation nila at qualifications kung pwede silang makapagapply.
    Shop around, look for agencies na walang fee. Check IDP or AECC, libre yung services nila for SV. Check the course kung may mga provider ba na mas mura yung tuition fee.
