Kuripo-TIPS #25 - Use CashBack and get PAID when you shop.
    * You get $5 on your account when you join and make a $20 purchase with in 90 days

    What I can purchase?
-- there are lots participating stores within CashReward like (Woolworths, Groupon, Rebel, eBay etc...)

If you are using OPAL card or buying grocery at Woolworths, you can purchase a Woolworth eGIFT card with 5% discount and use it to top up your OPAL card or when you buy your groceries (This is what I do)
-- Woolworth eGift Card is not a cashback but a direct DIRECT discount of 5% upon purchase.

Minimum eGift card value is $100, I only pay $95 (I purchase recently so I can top up my opal card)
--- eGift card voucher will be sent to your nominated email.

    How ?
    1. Join CashReward using the LINK
    2. Select "Woolworths Gift Cards - Special Offer" from their participating shop
    3. Click on Shop
    4. You will be redirected to the participating store website to continue with your purchase.

    NOTE:
    - Make sure you login FIRST in CashReward when going to the participating store website to TRACK your spending and get a CASHBACK.
    - Shop only if you need to and not because it is discounted.

Joining is FREE and you get $5 for joining and made a purchase at least worth $20 within 90 days of signing up )

    My tipid tips would be:

-for buying furniture or appliances, look at garage sales, gumtree or facebook marketplace. You get a lot of good quality products from there.
-for electricity or other utilities, ask around what packages they have and ask them to price match. Also, there are some companies that give a discount if you pay on time.
-for groceries, look at all the catalogues. Sometimes, you can even get it before the products go on sale. So if you know that the product you will be buying will be half price the week after, then hold off buying until then.

    Cheers!

Are stoves and ovens in Australia commonly electric or gas? Mas mura po ba gumamit ng electric oven or gas oven? I'm kind of fond of baking/reheating food in the oven kasi (rather than microwave), so I'm considering my options for when I move to Sydney.

And saan po ok bumili ng laser printer and laptop? mas mura po ba sa mga actual stores or meron pwede pagbilhan online?

    medyo OT:
@vhoythoy great pics! do you have online tutorials of some sort or websites you can recommend for amateurs/hobbyist? :D

@athelene in my experience, mas mura ang electric kesa gas. we were spending $700 per quarter nung electric/gas kami, but ngayon half or less than that na lang bill namin for family of three.

Madami pwede bilhan ng laser printer and laptop here, para sa akin mas mainam bumili sa store coz they offer freebies/discounts compare online.

@athelene based on my experience and computations, mas magastos ang electric stove in the long run. and generally mas-magastos kung electric powered ang stove at water heater mo. before, we were using gas stove and gas water heater, bill was less than $400 quarterly including electricity. now, in our new place, puro electric powered. bill namin $700-800 quarterly including elec. that's sydney area near cbd.
