Hello! Im based here in SG and I just took my exam at RELC. We were only 5 in the room yesterday and were asked to wear our masks even during the speaking part. They changed back the rule of wearing one kasi before pwede tanggalin daw. I highly suggest wearing a surgical mask (yung manipis) - super comfy and mas ok ang recording. I brought 5 just in case maputol ang string. lol.
Anyway, I didn't have much time to study as I was very busy with my german classes. Nagkafever nga ako after sa PTE exam dala ng stress - pinagsabay kasi ang 2. hehe.
Sa awa ni Lord, I got superior remarks! 🙂 Gulat nga ako because i wasn't that great with my RA. I stammered I think a couple of times and read the words too fast as I was nervous. I sucked in mg DI big time. I think I did way better during my practice hehe.
Anyway, my advice for the takers - practice, practice, practice especially for areas that you are weak and for these 4 areas: Read Aloud, Repeat sentence, Reading & writing: Fill in the blanks, & Write from dictation
I had to cram a day prior to the exam as I got too busy with work and my german class.
The sites that helped me a lot would be:
(1) Sonny English - like street smart yung style nya. Made things easier (at least for me) to understand the technicality of PTE and the areas I need to focus more. Fave ko talaga to.
(2) APEuni - took the VIP membership (USD14lang for a month's usage) but ended up not really using it that much kasi I got busy with other things. Their predictions on what will come out did appear on my exams when I rechecked after taking it.
Helpful talaga APEuni especially if you're on a budget and you want to learn as much as you can.
_I still have their SEP'20 exam collection if anybody is interested just PM me.
I would love to just share them here but I don't know how... pangEmail lang beauty ko. 😉
If you can provide a link where I can download all the docs that would be great as well para accessible sa lahat na may gusto ._
(3) e2learning - i joined their biweekly free classes (monday and friday) for additional info. Fave tip ko yung SST/ SWT nila.
So far yung kasabay kong nagtake ng exam ay hindi maiingay. Puro kami 1st timers and we were told not to raise our voices unnecessarily as not to disturb others. Ang bait pa ng proctor namin.
If you can take a mock GRADED test, the better so you would have the feel of what the exam would be like. I didn't want to spend money on mock exams so I skipped this part.
Lastly, PRAY - pray hard, pray with intention. I really thought bagsak ako sa speaking but was shocked to see I still managed to get a superior remark. To God be the glory!
