Question po, sana may makasagot po pls. We have a 491 Visa and we are wondering since hindi kami nakapasok agad, ano po ba ang mangyayari if after 5 years nag expire na yung visa and hindi pa po namin na fulfill yung requirements to work for 3 years in a regional area? Mababalewala po ba yung visa and papauwiin kami? (wag naman po sana hehe)
    Thanks in advance!

@relaxhax ask ko lang ano po yung nakalagay sa visa grant nyo na "Must not arrive after"?

We have 489 visa at para mafulfill namen PR requirements dapat maka-entry na kame on Feb 2022. Since na medyo short pa sa budget baka makapasok kame AU on May 2022 pa.

    Hello All,
Happy new year po sa lahat! Pinapapili nya ko kung anong preferred ko na region based on my job, family needs, school, proximity to Sydney, etc.

My nature of work is IT - business analyst. My wife is also in the field of IT and we have a 6 yr old son. Baka meron dito may idea. hehe

Salamat po in advance. Happy new year to all!!

i suggest besides sa proximity sa sydney, try mo din magtingin ng job openings sa region para may idea ka din anong region ang more in demand sa occupation mo. baka makatulong sa decision making hehe

Not sure if you have already replied to your agent about your preferred regions in NSW. I started with checking out regions with the most number of job openings ng occupation which is IT rin.

So far below are regions in which in demand ang occupation ko.

    Hunter Valley
    Illawarra
    Central West
    Central Coast
    North West

    Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Flexibility
The Government will extend by 3 years Skilled Regional Provisional (subclass 489, 491 and 494) visas where the visa holder was impacted by COVID-19 international travel restrictions. This will assist around 10,000 skilled regional workers.

This will provide sufficient additional time for all current and former Skilled Regional Provisional visa holders to make travel arrangements to start or resume living and working in regional Australia.

Government is giving concession i.e. in 489 we are required to stay 2 years and 1 year employment. If i remember correctly they reduce the 1 year.

    also:

The Government will extend by 3 years Skilled Regional Provisional (subclass 489, 491 and 494) visas where the visa holder was impacted by COVID-19 international travel restrictions.

Government is giving concession i.e. in 489 we are required to stay 2 years and 1 year employment. If i remember correctly they reduce the 1 year.

    also:

The Government will extend by 3 years Skilled Regional Provisional (subclass 489, 491 and 494) visas where the visa holder was impacted by COVID-19 international travel restrictions.

https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au/AlexHawke/Pages/further-flexibility-for-temporary-migrants.aspx#:~:text=The Government will extend by,around 10,000 skilled regional workers.

By reduce the 1 year, what do you mean by that sir? Reduced ng 1 year ang employment or stay?

I thought I am prepared for this, pero naooverwhelm pa ko sa mga kailangang gawin befor the big move. 😂

Please share any tips on the things you did in PH prior your big move
Ang mga inaasikaso ko na ay:

    • Selling properties ( I just posted my condo for sale)
    • Filing resignation and turnover of job

How much ang recommended pocket money for a single person?

If darating ka ng winter dto much better meron ka ng konting winter clothes para makatipid ka na din since mahal na kapag season na. regarding sa pocket money, I would recommend na at least 6 months stay na kahit wala kang work ay ma sustain mo. dipende kasi sa gastos mo yung amount e at kung magkano yung accommodation na makukuha mo pero siguro mga AUD10k++

@mau_villa I agree with @Hunter_08 na magdala ng clothes kasi mahal ang in season clothes. Depende rin kasi sa height mo, some clothes might need to be altered such as shortening of pants, so mas maigi nang may magagamit agad.

AU$10k++ sounds about right. Ang biggest expense ay ang rent so I would suggest that you check online kung magkano in the area you will move to para may idea magkano kailangan i-budget for this. If you will immediately rent a house or flat kailangan din magbudget para sa bond, which is paid upfront on top of about 2 weeks advance rent.

If you haven't done this yet, you may want to open an AU bank account while you are still there para pagdating dito kukunin mo na lang yung card sa branch. Pwede ka rin kasi magtransfer ng money sa AU account mo while still in the PH.
