Alam ko hindi required, pero if you are eligible for it, kuha ka na, sayang din and no harm in getting one. You can get subsidies, for example Jobseeker payment.

Not really required but advisable lalo na kung nagwowork na kayu. It may help you in some areas like child care subsidy.

Anyone here who moved all their savings sa Australian bank account nila? Or even just brought it in some way nung nag-big move? 'Di ko alam kung sisimulan ko na bang tingi-tinging magpa-exchange to AUD haha or work with my PH bank for wire transfer.

kaso sa cash limit lang ay 10k AUD di ba? Plan ko magfirst entry by May 2nd week then open ng bank account tapos wire transfer na lang siguro to Australia bank. not sure lang about taxes and fees if ever sa pera sa Aus. account.

Centrelink (Services Australia) handles transactions for social services like medicare, pensions, and tax benefits. As first step for new PRs, application/registration to Medicare is required. As to the other services, you can apply for them as needed and if you qualify... usually after a waiting period.

Punta ka nlng GP then ask kung panu makakuha ng copy kung wala pang medicare..

If you're in NSW you can use vaccination record card to list your immunisations and if asked attach proofs as provided by the clinic that gave you the vaccine. Copy of the NSW Immunisation Card can be downloaded here.

Am not sure if it's still the same process but way back in 2019, when we went to Centrelink to apply for Medicare, after submitting our application and attachments, we were provided with a piece of paper indicating our Medicare number for use if needed until such time that the Medicare card arrives by post. So basically, that same day we were already covered by Medicare.

Ngaun gusto nila by online mag apply. Nagtry kaming pumunta sa centrelink sabi sa online nlng magpasa. Not sure kung sa iba pwde. Pero dito bandang blacktown gusto nila online.

Agree Maam @ga2au ayaw nga nila ng hard copy application sa online din ako pinagsubmit. Blacktown area din. Dumating na TFN ko kanina medicare card nalang talaga kulang haha.
