I hope everyone is doing well. Meron po ba dito ang nagpa-assess sa EA or IML as engineering manager? Any feedback po on either and which is recommended? My background is BS ECE graduate, first worked as telecoms engineer then for the past 14 years more on managerial/head role position na. Salamat po.

Somehow strange. That’s the pre-requisite for your skills assessment application. You have to have a degree equivalent to AQF standards which is relevant to the occupation. You can’t get a positive outcome without the required qualification.

That’s not how a successful outcome looks like. It mentioned AQF but at what level? Their AQF certificate, AQF diploma AQF assoc diploma, AQF degree and so on. Did you ask them what does that mean?

Also, paano if expired na ung PRC license? Pwede ba isubmit ung expired license?

You only need the PRC certificate that you passed the board

Hello po. Newbie here.

Balak ko po magpa-assess sa EA to start sa journey sa Aus. Pero may mga tanong/worries po ako. sana mabigyan nyo po ako insights.

Mechanical Engineer po ako (by paper) pero ang work experience ko po ay more on CAD Drafting lang po. Pwede pa rin po ba ako magpa-assess as Engineer? or sa Mech Draftsman lang po?
If ever magfail po ang assessment as Engineer, pwede po ba ako magpa-assess ulit sa draftsman? or 1 time lang pwede mag assess sa EA?
If ever magfail sa skills assessment damay po ba yung sa educ? Iniisip ko po kasi if hindi ako makakuha ng work exp. at least yung points for educ makuha ko po?

Baka po meron ding ME na may same experience sa akin, baka po pwede makahingi ng CDR nyo for reference.

Sorry noob question po, kakastart lang magbasa basa ng requirements. If yung academic qualification lang po ang ipapa-assess sa EA (walang work experience), ano pong use nung assessment result sa paglodge ng EOI?

Also, if hindi po nagclaim ng work experience sa EA (dahil hindi aligned sa EA skilled jobs yung current and past work), pwede naman po magpa-assess sa ibang org like VETASSESS nu since nandon po yung skilled occupation na pasok sa current work? Adviseable po ba yon? Salamat po ng marami sa maghelp.

2 parts kasi ang EA assessment, first is to check your education and the second is to check if your work exp is relevant (optional to). Required ka na may positive assessment bago makapaglodge ng EOI so you must do a skills assessment kahit di mo ipa assess ang work exp if EA path gagawin mo
Pwede ka mag pa assess sa ibang assessing body kung dyan aligned exp mo. icheck mo lang requirements. It doesn't matter kung assessed ka ng EA o vetassess, basta may positive assessment ka sa isang occupation na pwedeng mag apply for PR.

If I recall correctly 50 lang need each band to be able to do a skill assessment

Good morning po, pag nagpa assess po ba ako sa EA, pwede kong piliin ang engineering technologist kaagad?or ang EA po ang mag aassess kung saan ako fit. im a civil engineer po pero ang occupation ko ay tekla modeler/drafter. gusto ko po kase ang engineering technologist kase mababa po ang points ko. baka indi ako mainvite pag sa civil engineer kase 65 points po ako sa 190.

pwede naman yan. ensure mo lang na yung competencies mo ay pasok sa required competencies as per MSA booklet

I'm currently preparing documents for my EA assessment and the provided information in this thread is really helpful po. Seeking for clarification lang po regarding below:

I'm planning to base my 3 career episodes on my experiences from my previous employer. Is it okay to submit an Employment Reference letter mentioning all of these 3 positions and experiences in a single letter?
Can I use the same Employment Reference letter for RSEA application?
I'm currently employed in a new company. Should I also request an Employment Reference letter from them and submit it to EA?

Also, if you don't mind po. Request lang po sana ako to have a copy of Employment Reference Letter that I can use as reference for preparing the draft. This is to make sure lang po na it's according to MSA requirements.. Can send po to my email: [email protected] .

ito timeline ko sa CDR at Skills assessment sa EA:

3/30 - submitted docs to EA
4/3 - awaiting assessment
5/3 - assessment in progress
5/4 - waiting information ( nag contact assessor asking for addt'l docs and I was given until June 1 to comply)
5/30 - submit addt'l docs
5/30 - outcome letter ( ilang hours lng after pag submit may outcome letter na agad)
