How long did it take you to get a job?

I talked to one of the guys and they said that they prefer to take people who are comfortable with the culture and have no problems interacting with the aussie teamwork...

i guess having an australian accent makes them think that you've lived here for quite a while na and of course already have that "local experience" even if that is sometimes entirely false...

@nathalie06 hindi naman ata, kaso ako kasi ang ginawa ko, naka-forward pa sa mobile number ko kasi kung skype lang di mo makikita yung tawag unless active skype mo. Ma-activate mo lang call forwarding pag-may credit ka eh.

Starting work on Tuesday. Total time it took me to get a job: 3 months. Surpassed the first hurdle which is local experience. I hope it's smooth sailing from here. Thank you God.

@alexamae Thanks. Tip lang ulit: huwag panghinaan ng loob at mawalan ng tiwala sa sarili. Makakatulong na rin kung mag-ooffer ng ibang skills besides sa main skill nyo. Sa Customer Relations ako ngayon dahil may background ako sa Cust Service. This will do for now until I can find a place in sys ad.

Sa taas ng bilihin diyan, I would say, kapit muna sa patalim at kunin kahit anong trabaho para may panggastos then tuloy lang ang pag-apply sa main job on the side

@LokiJr That's the plan. Ngayon pa't 5 months na misis. Kelangan kumilos. Nakakatakot din kasing makita na nade-drain yung savings gradually.
