How did you pay for online visa application?

ShaySheyShayShey WoolloongabbaPosts: 184Member
edited July 2016 in Other Migration Topic
Hello guys, I had this question on my mind and I tried searching sa mga discussions dito sa forum pero wala akong makita.

How did you pay for online visa application?

Based sa DIAC page:

Acceptable payment methods for online applications are:

MasterCard
VISA
American Express
Diners Club
JCB

So I assume this is through credit card... may other options ba?

In my case, if ever na dumating un time na mag lodge ako ng application, I need to pay 7040AUD. That is approximately 300k php... pwede ba mag pa increase ng credit limit up to 300k, I think na mahihirapan kami because currently less than 50k lang credit limit namin. :D

@ShayShey - this is also my probem, 3 dependents din meron ako, wife & 2 kids. sa BDO, kelangan mg-apply ng bagong CC with higher limit, di daw pwede iincrease. mgttake ng mga 2 weeks to process pa. Interested sna ako sa over-payment, kaso may extra charge b yn? pano papasok yng CC mo if let's say limit lng is 100k?

I called the BDO credit card support and they told me that it is ok to overypay or fund your BDO credit card to be able to pay amount that is greater than your CC credit limit. So that is what I did last night, I funded my credit card using BDO internet banking. Hope this info will help others.

@jomel I think it can be paid thru a CC only. Here's what I see from their website.

All online applications and services are charged in Australian dollars.

    Acceptable payment methods are:

    •MasterCard
    •VISA
    •American Express
    •Diners Club
    •JCB
    •pre-paid credit cards
•BPAY using your Australian telephone or Internet banking service for some applications.

@jomel, naka pag try na po ako mag inquire sa BPI regarding using a demand draft/bank draft to pay for my EA assestment. gamitin ko to since wala din akong credit card, i only have a BPI debit card. You only need an TIN # and account # sa BPI..

Check mo BPI branches na nag offer ng third currency since hindi lhat ng branches nla nag pprovide or mkapag request ng demand draft.

thanks lock_code2004, i tried to ask a friend who is there in AUS, sabi nya debit cards are not allowed. though I've read other threads here sa forum, sabi nila pwde naman daw debit cards with visa or mastercard logo. that is why it's confusing.. :) we just want to make sure also, kasi labo din kami makakuha ng cc and the amount that we will be paying is also big considering we are a family of 5. as much as possible gusto namin debit card. So i'm asking here if mayroon bang naka experience of actually paying their AUS visa using a pinas debit card. i hope mayron and share naman kong anong klaseng debit card.

    salamat..

@jomel debit card functions like a credit card for online payments, that's why meron visa/mastercard debit cards. ang kaibahan lang dapat may enough funds corresponding to the amount you are paying (and other banks places a limit for security kse direct deduction sa acct mo yan). Having said this, yes you may use debit card with visa/mastercard logo, just ensure you check with your bank if your debit card has transaction limit as this visa fee payment is one heck of a huge transaction, hehe.
