Hi All, question.

What if my wife has 1 year of experience, positively assessed by VETASSESS as suitable, and also has Superior English? Can I claim 10 partner points? Pagkakaintindi ko is yes if 1yr or more or regardless of YOE.

I’m confused because I can’t find any definite information about claiming points. I used AI (ChatGPT and Copilot), and it says my wife should have 3 years of experience. So here I can only claim the Superior/Competent English part, which is 5 points. However, it can’t provide any official wording or link to support the 3-year requirement.

Iggyyyyy as far as I can remember, itatanong lang sa EOI if your spouse has positive skills assessment that's on the same occupation list. It doesn't ask how many years yung deemed skilled. It will automatically give you the points.

Iggyyyyy would like to add lang, depende rin kung mltssl/stsol/rol yung list ng occupation ng asawa mo, kung mltssl sya, pwede ka mag claim sa 189/190/491, kung stsol sya, sa 190/491 lang, kung rol, sa 491 lang pwede mag claim ng partner points.

Applicable po kaya ako sa AIQS Assessment instead of the EA Assessment?

DREAMING AUS it depends on the occupation that you will nominate. If Quantity Surveyor (233213), then AIQS is the assessing body.

DREAMING AUS AIQS is quite a pain to deal with to be honest. Very strict with their requirements.

DREAMING AUS yes, yung pag nominate ng occupation should be based on your work experience. Ako din naman, Civil Engineering degree pero ang nominated occupation ko was Human Resource Adviser 😄
