Hello everyone! I'm new here and I'm very excited to hear your thoughts! 🙂 My girlfriend and I, like most people here, are planning on migrating to Australia. We are turning 25 next year so we'd like to start preparing and processing everything that we can as early as now. We are both ECE graduates (licensed) and have been employed for the last two years. She works for an oil and gas firm as a systems design engineer while I work for a semiconductor company as an equipment/process engineer.
From what I've researched, the most suitable visa we can apply for is VISA 189. Do you guys think this is the best course for us considering our qualifications?
We are planning to shift careers towards IT as we're not happy with the professional growth our current jobs give us. If we quit and change jobs before we get to three years of employment, are we still eligible for the overseas work experience points?
I have relatives in Melbourne who are more than welcome to help us when we get there, is there another VISA class I/we can apply for considering this?
