What I would do is to keep the old designation to be consistent with the EOI and skills assessment. Then provide the (1) promotion letter with official company letterhead, (2) the old employment reference with job duties and the old job title, and (3) a new employment reference with the new job title for further proof.
The issue with this suggestion is that if the old designation is used for the new job title so it’s consistent with the EOI, the official evidences to support such claim won’t be consistent with the EOI.
What’s interesting to know with this case is whether or not the EOI was updated prior to the invite….because if it’s updated, then employment history should be a straightforward task to do.
